  1. Nevermind. I didn't know you had to click the "Download Waypoint LOC" button first. Do I have to download a Waypoint LOC file to my computer for EVERY cache I want to put on my unit?
  2. I'm on the Geocaching map. I click on a cache to pull up the popup window with the cache's information. Every time I try to "Send to my GPS" (Dakota 20), I get a prompt to check the box to agree to the terms of service. I check the box, click "Submit", and nothing happens. I did this on four different caches, and when I went into the Cache menu of my unit, it says there are no caches. I want to start playing this apparently fun game called Geocaching, but after two hours of setup, and still no caches on my unit I just bought yesterday, I'm not having very much fun. :-(
  3. Thanks so much for the advice! I'll pick the Dakota up this evening after I get off work! :-)
  4. When out on a training exercise this past weekend, the guys and I stumbled upon a fully decorated [lights, even!!] Christmas tree out in the woods. They were all wondering what would possess someone to put a Christmas tree out in the middle of nowhere, but somehow I instantly knew it was a geocache. I have never been geocaching, nor had I ever seen one before then. But that accidental find intrigued me. So I've been reading up on the hobby, and looking at some GPS units in my price range. In my local brick and mortar store, I found the Dakota 20. It's a no-box display unit for about $95. The employee I spoke to said they would be happy to download and print the manual for me. In a popular online store, I found the Explorist 110, new in the box, for about $112. I am torn between the two. Which one would you experienced cachers choose?
