  1. CONGRATULATIONS to the winner. THANKS for the cointest.
  2. Your coins look amazing - Looks like 140 to me. THANKS
  3. It so fantastic - it has to be real - both the story and the lovely coin. I will definitely be following this coin.
  4. Should we fear the Kraken or Davy Jones. This coin is spectacular.
  5. go to the cache page - right hand column under Inventory, click on Past trackable that have visited and your coin will be listed there. I also like to make a comment in my on line log that "geocoin Such-and-such" has visited the cache.
  6. I have a first to find coin that I always use to record my FTFs. The way I do it is to go to the cache page and write a note saying "I'm going to dip a coin to record my FTF and then I will delete this note so as not to clutter up the cache page" then I go down to check the coin as visiting and then submit it. I do go back and delete the logs - it will not delete the visit.
  7. CONGRATULATIONS on receiving a Jedi Mickey coin. Look for that thread to see who else received one.
  8. NOT ACTIVATION CODE unless you want someone to use it to re-activate it under their own name.
  9. The Eagle continued circling the EARTHa, it spied the otters abd turtles but there was something else that caught it's attention..........
  10. WOW that's beautiful. Stephanie is one of my very favorite designers and such a sweet person here on the boards.

  12. A bit off topic but another suggestion would be, if you or your scout feels comfortable, how about placing a cache in a convenient area. You could give it a scouting theme or just try to keep it "kid interesting". Most important though is HAVE FUN and keep encouraging the kids.
  13. MrsB is correct. Your scout is doing nothing wrong. Some owners want to keep trackables in their caches because they attract other cachers. If your scout ever gets a chance to drop a trackable back in it might smooth ruffled feathers but not necessary. Even if you find one she could grab it from you and then place it. If your scout is just starting, I recommend that she gets in the habit of mentioning the trackable in her on line log. It helps the TB/COIN owner and "watchers" follow them a little more. A big THANK YOU to you for getting your scout involved and assisting whenever possible.
  14. I used to be a FTF hound. One other cacher and I would head out as soon as we were notified. We ran into each other many times in the dark. He moved away and the fun was gone. Other cachers in the area wouldn't even try to get FTF. Once he moved away, I was getting all the FTF which got boring so I stopped trying for them. Now I'm in a cache a day every day (not necessarily same year). If I don't need a cache the day a new one is published, I wait until the next day I need one. Sometimes FTF is still available other times another cacher will get it. Some of the newer cachers are starting to head out as soon as they get notified but not always finding them. The personal competition between myself and the other cacher was getting really intense. Miss those midnight runs but maybe another new cacher will get serious about FTF and then I'll look forward to the NEW BLANK LOG BOOKS again.
  15. I would love to help but I live to far away. I did that with my son's cub scout group. The first cache had some string in it. The second had some beads. others had feathers, colored tacks, leather strips, bells, whistles and eventually they found a large spot with walking sticks that they could add everything to. They loved it. That was 4 years ago and my son still has his. Those walking sticks showed up at a lot of campouts and hikes. GOOD LUCK
  16. CONGRATULATIONS. A while ago while out caching, I was stung 76 times by yellowjackets and my son was stung 26 times but we did get FTF on the cache. Shortly after that we received this adorable coin in the mail. I keep mine in my purse right along with my epipen which I now carry all the time. LOVE THE COIN.
