  1. If you're happy with no map at all, buy the GPS 60. It's basic, it's yellow, quite like your RINO, but without Walkie-talkie. Edit: It also offers a USB connexion. And if you really want a basemap, don't buy the GPSMAP 60, as it's more expensive than the eTrex Venture HC (which offers more, except 8 Mo of storage that the 60 has). The Venture also has a high-sensivity receptor.
  2. I'll try. (Edit: for the 200th, of course.) (Am I allowed to post 6 blank mesages? )
  3. They forgot to move the coma. According to google, 5000 kilos is 11 000 pounds. 4 meters is 13 feet.
  4. 11 - This cache is well hidden - great one!
  5. Small creatures don't eat big ones... But I admit that a 2 inch spider might be a little (or very) scary.
  6. They all relate to airplanes? The first might be a air tunnel for testing plane aerodynamics (NASA has one similar to that, if it really is one). The third is an airport. And as for the second... no idea.
  7. 176 - This cache is really well hidden!
  8. Five hundred exactly. So if you add HTML stuff, you won't have enough place to write lots of stuff (especially in french, because é, è, and ê are replaced with é è ê). But short description is useless. Leave it blank. Just write it in the long.
  9. 395 - Where's that freakin' cache?
  10. It would obviously work, but you would need an access point. For city caches, you might find an unprotected wi-fi router, but not in the woods. But at 50 bucks, why not? Give it a try!
  11. And so? I was just giving my opinion (IE. I agree with them). I think that this forum is not a contest, and even if in this post I only wrote two words, you could take a look at my posts (and also at my posts at geocaching-qc.com and geocaching-saglac.com) and see that I wrote way more than 10 words (not counting ponctuation) and that in the same time, I helped people (by giving them answers to their questions, helkping them in choices), just not like you. I think that freedom of expression is crucial, therefore I respect your choice of expressing yourself in this post. P.S. I wrote more than 10 words this time. Happy? P.S.II: Hummers are just another way to contribute destroying earth's atmosphere. I wish petrol stocks won't last more than five years. Just my 2 cents. EDIT: don't expect me to come around here again, I've had enough. This is just plain loss of time.
  12. Yup. I totally agree. Totally agree too.
  13. The chinese chariot that points to the south?
  14. Is the cointest still open? Q1: 6:34 Q2: 8:17 Q3: 82 And Happy Halloween y'all!
  15. Also, for free, you can upload photos to geocaching.com
  16. I don't think they are going to tell you
  19. Are the maps you want to load on a card the map included on the unit? or a DVD bought apart? If it's a DVD, yes. You can upload them with mapsource. If it's the GPSr basemap, it is not stored in a MicroSD card. So changing the microSD card won't change anything. All the cards are the same (in fact they are almost all made in the same place, even if different brands), but do not use the Sandisk extreme II. And I am unsure wether the 4Gb cards work or not.
  20. Strange... it should be the treasure chest icon. No idea.
  21. Now most nanos look like these. They are smaller than a nickel!
  22. Now if they had a 60 C(S)x, or a "H" eTrex, a regular eTrex wouldn't compete. Yes, maybe, with the same receiver, the eTrex gets better signal. But if you put a regular eTrex and a eTrex H side-by-side, the H would clearly win. (And this is the same with the "X" 60 series, and the other "H" eTrex models)
