I was in that area 3 days before you and i was being followed by a few individuals while in that area...luckily I can run well....but man that got my heart racing. Afterwards I told friends where I was caching that day and they told me that was a mistake to be in that area in the first place...
  3. Here is a cache I found in New York's central park. Is needed to be well hidden due to all the ppl that go there everyday! it was hidden in an ivy patch!

  8. i guess you didnt read everything....I got it all worked out. have program on palm and gps unit.
  9. I have the City Navigator for North America on my car garmin gps. When i got the 60C I used that software to put the selected regions that have the local roads for that area. I looked up your other suggestion and would say that is going to have the trails for an area, and if you cant get directions to a starting/parking spot how are you going to find the trail? I would say to get the CN and then if you wish to later get the trail map
  10. Thanks for the help everyone! I would like you to know that due to your help I was able to get 100 caches in 23 days! aprox. 18 miles walked.
  11. Hey there. I have the 60C, it uses the same software. Install the map software on your pc. Make sure to install the software to connect to the GPS. once that is done, RESTART Then open the map software and plus in the GSP (turned on) There are two ways to download the files and upload them to the GPS. 1) You can DL the individual .dpx file from the individual cache page. 2)You can create a Pocket Query through your profile and get 1 to 500 caches in a particular area IN ONE FILE. When you go to uploading, open the GPS software (MapSource) drag the .gpx file onto the "waypoints" area. you can find this in the tab to the left of the window. from click the "send to device" button. Its on the top menu bar (little black gps). This will sync the GPS and it will now be saved as a treasure chest on maps. I recommend you do the Pocket Query as you can get a lot of maps uploaded in one time. Go here to see how to do that, and read it all if you want to go paperless with the use of a Palm. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...=5&t=149153

    I pod

thats a good question....im interested in that too
  13. That's sounds kinda weird. Just kidding. Take any travel bugs that you can assist towards its goal. That's the only requirement. lol, yeah I move them around pretty fast like! I've found my first 96 caches in 21days shooting for 100 before the 25th. (100 in a month)
  14. when I find a travel bug in a cache I try to leave one too. If I don't have one to sqap it with I don't take it, unless its a really cool one. I like to take them back to the house, log them and then take pics of them for my own record.
  15. u should be able to just drag them into the waypoint area then upload them.
  16. YES YOU CAN, you need to build pocket Queries read my thread i stated, i had a few problems to understand at the bottom it will help you on this topic
