  1. I have an old Garmin Etrex ( yellow) , that requires a re-co trade in. it would cost about $160 to do this ( i will have to re check the total $) but if you are willing to go to Gladesville to exchange the unit, you can have it for the cost of the exchange. the exchange unit will be a re-co, with 3 months warranty, and be in "as new" condition ( no scratches, or pieces chipped out, ot cache battle scars) email me directly for further info. 2. perhaps trhe cache you've found is in one of these two categories.. 1. an old one somebody has archived, thinking it had gone missing. being archived means the cache may not visible on the website. 2. the cache is so noew, that it hasnt been posted on the website yet. meaning the owner hasnt typed in,and set up an entry for it on www.geocaching.com 3. it may be a premium member cache, that is not listed in the general area of the website. either way it should have had an instruction shet in it that has info about how to log the cache adn so n.
  3. i think if you use a thrid party tool like ozi -explorer you may be able to export the route file as a text file, then import the data to excel. I know its a third step, but so far thats the only way ive found to do it.
  4. being on the northern side of the fires, i can verify some of these caches are still ok, if they exsist, i havnet been to check them ( snifter, give me a hoy if you'd like me to check on them) the areas around thense caches I know were not affected by the fires.. W heifer heifer land calves revenge wonderful Bovine Patella (lol!) thats about it, i dont know about the others.
  5. Heres something for those having trouble posting Webcam cache finds because they dont have anyone to monitor the webcam for them... or, you just like to watch. WEBCAM WATCHER... http://www.webcam-watcher.com/ Its a nifty piece of sofware, that can monitor up to 20 webcams at once. (Unlimited in the registered version) it wil capture an image file from each webcam, at selected intervals, or each time the cam is updated, So you'll never miss a thing on a webcam again, you can then reveiw the images and even make animations of the captured frames. So, you can start it running, then pop down to that webcam cache near you, and do your thing, knowing that your PC is faithfully recording your every move! He He He. The NY webcam is allready set up on it. It may take a little fiddling to configure the right webcams. If you need a hand, send me an email, ill try to help. All the best. GeoMonkey Prime p.s. I am not affiliated with this software in any way, I just found it and thought you might like to know about it.
  6. Here in aus there are several caches still appearing as available, that have been "lost" either plundered, or cleaned up by varius councils. the problem is , the owners of the caches, dont seem to be around any more to clean up/archive thier caches. how do we go about sorting out these problems?
