I just checked and the 2 books on Geocaching are around $15.00 each.
For the course cost you could get a book and gps to get you started.
Try this link it is free
Try here I think they have more then they show on web site. They have marine charts
I hate to ask but here is google search I did and found some places that look like they have maps
Cord conversion site
If you look at the top of every cache page there is a spot to convert cords. This is the site that gc.com uses.
Get you utm cords and enter them here and convert to what is used to post a cache.
You are right it is there and I did miss it as I have not looked there for awhile.
You could still have a seperate topic pinned at the top on searching?
I was wondering if at the top of getting started or some where around here if you could post faq and teach users how to search the forms so we don't see the same topics over and over again.
That is really good and maybe if they see this in a positive light they can pass it along to there bosses and we may get some action with what cache-tech as been trying to do.
I was at best buy and they were selling S&T with a gps that was in the package.
I will have to go back and see what version it was and what kind of gps was in the package.
They are the same as Future Shop
Try switching your unit to umt and then you can project in meters and this gets you down to about 1 yard.
You can then plot it on any topo map using a roamer.
