  1. So I have reviewed all the comments and decided that I was going to do something a little different instead. Originally I was going to use CD cases and have the "final" in the tree. Instead, I will hang all of them in the tree and have each one have a "Not Here", "Not this One" etc in the decoys. I plan on naming this one... Hanging In There (See Dee Tree) Is this a better idea?
  2. Got Nerds? Oh yes, lots of them! But still looking for a few more! Yay! I gots me a Nerd!
  3. We lose more Franks that way!!!! And here I thought I lost all of mine on the BBQ
  4. Welcome to the addiction... er... hobby. Always nice to hear good beginner stories. I've been caching on and off for more than 7 years, and I am never bored or too tired to get the chance to go out caching. Although with work, kids and other responsibilities, I don't get out as often as I wish I could. I live in BC, and we too get our share of snow and cold weather and it does hinder us too. Glad you are enjoying it, and welcome again!
  5. I recently reported Psychoticjester from South City. He discovered one of my coins too, and he's been a member just under a year and has 121 trackables found
  6. This is what I was planning on doing... there are three paths (proper ones) that lead to GZ. When the cacher gets within 10 - 15 feet, I would hide my obvious Red Herrings... but the actual coordinates would be the true cache container
  7. I was thinking of creating a Red Herring Traditional cache, but I am not sure if this will work out not. I was planning on placing 5 red herring containers near ground zero, each referring to where the actual cache was. Say within 10-15 feet of the actual. Do I need to make any necessary mentions to the reviewer, or can I simply put them out? Any help would be great
  8. Oh mathtrade... almost done... can't wait to see the offers!!!
  9. I usually plan ahead also. Actually a little of both. The GPS is fully loaded, but I always plan my day with paper, pen and cache name in small book. I have them numbered in the sequence I want to do to minimize the amount of driving... and gas spent... and then I can also add little notes and times about the caches. As I stated above, when I first started in 2006, I printed out everything in our area and had them all in two binders. One for the "To Find" and the other was for the "Found" So, if this is being "geeky", then count me in! But yes, if you are still enjoying the addiction... er... hobby, then more power to you!
  10. I would like to say thank you for the work you have done behind the site. And to take the time to answer some of the issues that have come up. I really like the design of the site, and the possibilities it possesses. I have been looking for something exactly like this for my coins too! I wanted to get my list started before I had really too many to list. I understand the reply you gave me, and I can understand that maybe I should bookmarked the front page, instead of my user page. Thank you, and if I spot any more bugs, I will contact you directly. M
  11. We should be crossed off. Resent the email to you
  12. Is it the Geocache Coffee Geocoin? It is... another winner! Next!
  13. I don't understand why I am having troubles. One time I load it... it finds 24, then I do check updates, downloads up to 55, then finally gets 65. Reload the page at a later time, and now I am back at 24. When I do get 65, none of them have any mileage either. I think I will pass on this for awhile. Looks quite promising though
  14. Are all 65 activated? It only tracks the ones you have activated. ... I think... CF30 Yes... all activated. Some in my possession... maybe that's why?
  15. For me, it only finds 24... I have 65. I don't think it tracks those that are in your collection
  16. Not getting enough of them Mostly here, it's the lateness of the publishing. I am a night person, but looking for a cache in the middle of the night simply to say you there first is sometimes, as others have said, unsavory.
  17. From the Mindlabs page this morning... We are sorry to say that our supply has run out! We have sent all the Minelab Geocoins out to new homes and hopefully to caches near you. While we can’t send you your own anymore, you can on the lookout for them by tracking their latest movements. Thanks again for your interest. Guess whomever got in on the second batch were the lucky few
