  1. I am back in the states now. Never did get more than one sat. Let it sit out side for almost an hour, now joy. Thanks for all the help.
  2. Turn it on, set it down in an open/unobstructed view of the sky. Come back 30 minutes or so later. You did not state what make/model GPSr. Older units sometimes require telling the unit where it is.... through the main menu set-up. This is fairly common when having gone a long distance or time, without being turned on. You say that it has acquired one sat, it needs more time.
  3. I am in England on vacation, can't get more than one satellite. need help on how to change things.
  4. Way to go FlagMan. You are very brave.

  7. No. 1.3.2 (v312.6) That is really old. Almost 3 years old! I'm surprised the site works at all. I think you will find many sites on the web do not function properly. If you have mac os x 10.4 or 10.5, then you should update to safari 3.1, it is free: http://www.apple.com/safari/download/ If you have mac os x 10.2 or 10.3, then I would recommend switching to firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ -Ben using old emac mac os x 10.3 may be. Think it is time to up grade. Every thing worked will till about one month ago. Carl Don't you get the automatic update notices from Apple? You really should upgrade Safari (there have been many improvements). I use Safari, and so far the only problem has been with the "Send to GPS" button on cache pages (it doesn't work reliably), and so I just fire up Firefox when I want to use the Send to GPS button. I have switched to firefox. everything works great now. Thanks for the help. Carl

  9. Every time I try to go to hide and seek my browser crashes. I don't know what is wrong. Need help.
  10. Caller ID is really good. Just look at the number and don't answer the phone. Also turn down the volume on the answering machine.
  11. over the last two days have not been able to either load a cache site using the way or when I use the map function. It then crashes. Using Safari.
  12. Way to go. No many last this long any more. Congrats!!
  13. The rangers are now in charge of picking up "litter". Why bother having a CITO? Are you trying to deprive them of their job? Neither of us will be participating in the CITO this year, though we'll try to come out for some caching, if there are any left. I appreciate all your efforts in running this CITO Skillet, but I agree with S&R. I'm not going to pick up one piece of trash for those bums unless things change between now and then. Remember folks our name in on the road for those two miles. We should keep it clean, at least a couple of feet in from the road.
  14. They should have fired the missile. One less speed trap.
  15. HONK!! Absolutely, that's the place. Well, to be precise it was at the other side of the tank. Old water tank on the way IHO: Doris
  16. I for one have observed the green flash. But I was at sea.
  17. I keep getting kicked out when I try to load a map. I am using Safari on a Mac.
  18. What is with east county cachers. Does not one like to hike. We have these nice caches in south crest. Just begging to be found.
  19. Yeah, Crest is for sissies . I can only speak for myself; I just got back yesterday from a trip to Guadalajara, Mexico. Today was my first cache find since last Thursday - WHAH! I almost tied my record for consecutive no-cache days, which is five since I registered. I have a busy two weeks coming with birthdays, work, the Ensenada bike ride, but hope to make it up there soon. And tomorrow is my wife's birthday and I haven't got her anything! Chuy!, are you whining because you have to get her something?? (This is John) Chuy are you whining because you were not FTF? This is Jodi: John you better be quiet. If Chuy! takes any advice from you about buying his wife a birthday present he'll be seeing a lawyer in a week.... And yes...I am whining!!!!!!!
  20. Not sure this is a whine or not. But a new cache was put in Crest this weekend and I am the only one to find it. You guys don't like Crest anymore or what?
