  1. quote:Originally posted by ljo:I have a Garmin Legend, an iBook running OS10.2.3 and a Keyspan adaptor. I just purchased Mac GPS Pro. I am able to successfully download waypoints to my computer and plot them on a map. I have only tried this, no uploads etc. I am interested in hearing how others are doing with their set-ups. Right now the biggest problem is finding a place to hike that isn't icy! I haved the exact same setup. Working great! Including taking myself while driving using the "realtime" feature! I am loving MacGPS Pro. I just need to find some road maps now. Matthew http://www.defenseengineering.org/rowe/
  2. Where can I find Road Maps for use with the MacGPS Pro software? I'm new to the software and trying to figure out how everything works. I got the realtime display going on my iBook, but it only displays my waypoints. I was looking to load road maps for driving. Matthew http://www.defenseengineering.org/rowe/
  3. I can answer the Mac OS X software question. http://www.macgpspro.com/ This guy has written some great software here. I use it on my laptop (iBook) and EasyGPS on my Desktop (Windows XP Pro). By far, the Mac GPS Pro software is much better. Matthew http://www.defenseengineering.org/rowe/
  4. Ok, I finally figured out my problem. For some reason when I download the .loc files with Mozilla, MacGPS Pro does not recognize the file (even if it is named as a .loc file). I am not sure why this is. But I just tried downloading the same thing with Internet Explorer, and it worked fine! I really don't understand what the difference is (I'm also new to Mac's and GPS at the same time). So please forgive my ignorance on why which browser is making a difference. But as a heads up for other MacGPS Pro users, Mozilla will not work for downloading XML .loc files! Matthew http://www.defenseengineering.org/rowe/
  5. I'm using Mozilla, and it saved them as a .loc file. But MacGPS Pro still won't recognize them. I've renamed the files to everything I can think of to no avail. Any other suggestions anyone? Matthew http://www.defenseengineering.org/rowe/
  6. I can not get my Mac GPS Pro to recoginze the XML .loc files. I download them from GC.com, then I try to convert them to waypoints. When I do this, MacGPS Pro asks me to select the XML .loc file to be converted. The files are faded and can not be selected. Any ideas what on earth I am doing wrong here??? Thanks for any help!
