  1. I live in a village not too far from Dunstable and can recommend the following; you will however need a car to get to them: Beacon View - Round in Circles GC87E9, Closest to Dunstable with some breathtaking views A Clappers Caper GC87B9 A Clappers Caper Part 1 GC87B7 A Clappers Caper Part 2 GC87B8 All three are in the same area, also with lovely views. Katherine's Cross GCB938 Masquerade GCBF82 These two are within a few hundred feet of each other. Hope this help, good luck and good caching HiPath
  2. I would also like to add my thanks to T&J. I have read most of the posts on both sites and I think Tim and June presented a professional and eloquent case on behalf of the caching community.
  3. Excuse my ignorance but I’m new to this. What is “Pocket Queries”?
  4. Yep, can confirm that you have identified me correctly (k). Remember that day well, it was bitterly cold.
  5. quote:So I don't think it was a bad idea, it's just the European approvers are following a different set of standards for approving caches in Europe. Airports in Europe especially in the UK are very sensitive areas. Walking around an airport parking lot searching for a cache could look a bit suspicious and you’re likely to end up being surrounded by a S019 team (our equivalent to SWAT) and arrested for terrorism. That's maybe why the cache was not approved.
  6. I am new to Geocaching and have only just recently purchased a GPS receiver (Meridian Gold), which I’m very pleased with. To enhance the unit I’m thinking about buying Megellan’s Mapsend Streets CD (Europe) but having just read some of the reviews from the US there appears to be a lot of dissatisfaction with the accuracy of the product. Does anyone out there have any experience of using this software in the UK? If so how accurate is it? Any comments would be most welcome.
