  1. Welcome to Columbia. I don't really know of any caching groups around Columbia, but their are allot of individuals out their caching. I typically end up running into a fellow cacher each time I am out. So far I have only taken out family and friends but always look forward to introducing others to the exciting world of geocaching. If you hear of any local groups please let me know. Will do! See you in the green.
  2. Are there any como cachers here? We just moved up and would love to find a caching group/team.
  3. Have fun in the area. If you need anything while in Mobile, shoot me a PM!
  4. I live in the South, so I don't know how far the sporting goods store academy extends, but I found that they are selling Magellan Explorist 600's for $259.95! I price compared online, and I don't think you can find them for less. It may only be my store though ...
  5. Me and my fiance got into it as she needed some sort of relief from wedding planning hell. Just going out/out of town doesn't suffice, as she will inevitably find a way to start thinking about the wedding and thusly stress herself out. I enjoy milsim activities, but her not so much. She's got a degree in history, and this has proven to spark her interest. PLUS when were looking for a cache she's not thinking or stressing I should say about the wedding. She's more gung ho about it than I am, for now . I have found that although were pretty "outdoorsy" people, this has been the first activity to truly take our minds off the stresses of life for an hour or two.
