  1. Thanks for the reply Kai Team. It appears that GSAK is freezing up when it was extracting a compressed file. Just to be sure that it wasn't the other files in my Geocaching folder I created a GSAK folder, moved all of the compressed files that come from my pocket queries to that folder and tried again. This time I recieved a different error message stating that there was a non PKZip file. I then extracted each one of the files to the the GPX file within. During this process I did find that one of my files was corrupt. I had GSAK load up the folder of files and it worked just fine. Over the next week I will download new files from my pocket queries and see what happens.
  2. Has anyone had an issue with GSAK freezing up after downloading the pocket query files using the "Get Data Via Email" option on the File menu? I have uninstalled GSAK, rebooted my PC, and then reinstalled GSAK only to get the same results.
  3. It looks like the Pocket Query Generator no longer requires the user to go in an select the query to run again. I wonder what was done to fix the issue or if the "temporary solution" has weeded out the cachers that no longer have a need to generate those queries all the time.
  4. Please note that my reply to this topic is done with out reviewing the previous notes due to the lack of time this evening. Instead of complaining about the new pocket query "feature" I would like to suggest that the GC.com powers that be make the following changes: 1 - Add a link to the "My Geocaching" page for Premium members to download a GPX file for their state. Update these files once a week. 2 - As conditions warrent (i.e. file size) allow geocachers in large states to download PQs by area code. This would not be hard to impliment as the Search page already has this function but currently is NOT offered on the Pocket Query setup page. 3 - Allow all premium members access to the new GPX files for each state through the default state page accessable through the users "My Geocaching" page. 4 - Increase the allowable "hits" of geocaches to 1000 instead of the current 500 5 - Allow the user a new option to send the pocket query file once a month. Currently pocket queries allow once each day or once a week as the only frequency options. While the current "feature" of having each geocacher checkmark each time they want their pocket queries run will work for now, I believe that implimenting any of the above suggestions will help improve this part of the geocaching experience.
  5. Here is a cache by Salt Lake International Airport. However one would need to get some transportation to get to it after they land. This one is about a 5 mile round trip from the airport despite it being about a mile as the geocaher goes. It would be faster had 9/11 not happened and the road going under the taxiway was open.
  6. I am looking for the PC Cable & 12V Cable or a combo of both for a reasonable price. If anyone out there has a working cable they would like to get rid of please respond to this post. Lagoonfreek
  7. About all I know about Marysvale is that it is a former mining town. Folks mined things like gold, silver, and uranium. My wife's grandfather actually mined the latter and you can still see the huge scar on the mountain to the North East of town. My own great-grandfather had several mine claims in the area and one of those became my grandfather's who did mine a bit of gold out of there but it wasn't enough to make it worth it. There are a few caches out there, there is also river rafting, 4-wheeling, and you must check out Big Rock Candy Mountain while you are there. As far as caches go...there is a series out there called RMATV. It is a series of 10 caches and according to the owner the series is designed to be done in a day. As I don't know the area all that well my suggestion is to do a search using zip code 84750 and see what you might be able to do.
