Hi, we will be spending a whole day caching in Newcastle this Sunday, may I ask for some cool reccommendations?

On one of my first caches, when I wasn't fully aware of how precise GPS coordinates are, I spent about 20 minutes walking around Arsenal - a big historical building close to my flat in Warsaw which currently happens to house an archeology museum, looking for a cache which is actually about 50 metres away from the building. After the 20 minutes a man came out of the building, stopped near me and pretended to mind his own business. When I got close to him, he grabbed my jacket and revealed himself to be a policeman, probably suspecting me of being a terrorist :D. We went to his small room in the building and I explained what I was trying to do - and as he had no idea about the cache, he tried to give me some advice that turned out to be completely wrong. So that was a nice start to geocaching :D. And then just last Monday I was trying to find a cache at Charleroi airport in Belgium and I first approached it from the wrong direction. When I realised, I went back and when I was approaching it from the right direction I walked past two police officers with big rifles, who thought I was suspicious and followed me. Happily I found this one straight away so I just showed it to them saying "geocaching" and they knew what it was.

Could you provide the gc code of the cache where you have to hang from such a height?

I am especially amazed by the suggestion that when we find a task like climbing a tree dangerous, we should send a child to do it I enjoy climbing trees. Finding these caches is rewarding for me. However, there are some really crazy COs in Dublin and because of this, I do skip some of the climbs that I consider too difficult. See how I manage to easily handle the problem of not risking my life when I don't want to?

Co do warszawskich wirtuali, to oczywiście w pierwszej kolejności popieram pomysły własne wyróżnionych, ale gdyby wam takowych brakowało, to zrobiłbym jednego o hejnale warszawskim Zwłaszcza, że w bezpośrednim sąsiedztwie znajduje się już kilka wysokiej jakości keszów.

Doesn't sound like the end of the world to me. Some of my favourite geocaching spots have 5 or 6 caches pointing to them - and I think it's awesome. In other news a new virtual was just published in Dublin and I was about 5-10 minutes late for an ftf

How do I do searches based on the username?

How do I easily view all logs (finds, dnfs, notes, everything) of a particular user?

I would like to make a plot showing number of active caches per country as a function of time. I can access current data on project-gc but does anyone know of a way to access old data? I can see the "hidden time" filter, but the careful readers will realise this is not what I am looking for.

Hi everyone, it appears that the cache displayed as my 1500th cache in the milestones tab is actually my 1501th cache. I can think of 3 possible solutions: - someone deleted my log from earlier. I find it not likely, as I should get an email notification about that, which I didn't - I counted my finds incorrectly. I find it extremely unlikely, as I was keeping track of everything. I remember it was my 8th find of the day on that particular day and so it appears on geocaching.com - there's a bug in project-gc code could anyone help me get to the bottom of this issue?

There is a cache type called event, you can filter the map of caches in New York searching for events. This is usually where local geocachers meet.

I guess the title captures it. Using a popular geocaching stats website I can see them on a map along with those that aren't archived, but is there a way to see a list of just the archived ones? Preferably sorted by date of find or date of having been archived. And from multiple countries as well?

Hej, mam mało keszerskie pytanie, ale może ktoś z was się orientuje. W kwietniu będę o 9.30 lądował w Gdańsku, a odlatywał o 12.55. Chciałem przez część tego czasu wyczyścić okolice lotniska z keszów, ale nie chcę targać ze sobą walizki. Moje pytanie brzmi zatem - czy na lotnisku w Gdańsku znajduje się jakaś przechowalnia bagażu?
