  1. Moun10Bike, THANK YOU!!!! That worked! You are a genius! I wondered if it had something to do with that, but I had no idea how to fix it! Thank you so much!
  2. I have had a geocaching account for years. We were very active geocachers, but life happened and we fell out of geocaching for awhile. I decided to download the app onto my Apple phone and go find a few caches. (We used to use a separate handheld GPS.) But I can't log into my account with my phone. I get the message, "An account with username 'Cachin' Kidlets' does not exist. I know that's my username. I'm logged into that account on my laptop. I had them send me my username thinking that might help. They sent me: Cachin' Kidlets, but it didn't help. It's the same username I'm trying to log in with. Any suggestions?!?
  3. I have a soft case for my Oregon. I can't say I love it, but I like to think that it helps protect it when it's sitting on the floor of our cache-mobile. However, I have realized that I should have a screen saver. Many people recommended Zagg. Can I find this at any "real" store, or is it only available online? Thanks in advance!
  4. I just got my Oregon 450 yesterday, but it seems to me like the easiest place to enter quick coords is at:Where to? - Coordinates. I don't see an easy way to rename them (yet!), but for entering a stage of a multi or something, that worked well for me.
  5. Thanks for setting me straight, but I do have one more question. Where will people go to create new virtuals? I was told it would fall under Waymarking. Is that incorrect? Thanks again, Melissa from Cachin' Kidlets
  6. Here's the deal... My family loved searching out interesting virtual caches to find while we were on vacation. Usually they took us to interesting, out-of-the-way places. (We also enjoy finding regular caches, too, by the way!) The virtual caches that we found were all different... some were interesting rock formations... some were historical markers... some were interesting items... Very few of them were in the same category, yet they were all interesting. We're going on vacation in a month, taking I65 from Michigan to Florida, and it's my job to come up with some interesting places to visit. Have I completely missed a map by state section? (I don't need to know all the virtuals in Tennessee, only the ones close to I65.) Do I have to wade through the pages of McDonalds restaurants that offer wireless internet? Can someone help me out? The more I try to find something interesting, the more discouraged I get. Thanks, Melissa from Cachin' Kidlets

  8. I'd love to be able to exclude all the caches I've found from the map pages on geocaching.com. I don't want them to show up at all. That would help me to know where there are caches that I haven't found. The red check mark doesn't help at all when I'm looking at a larger area. Could this be a possibility?!? Thanks, Melissa from Cachin' Kidlets
  9. I would love to be able to look at a map of all the caches in my area but have only the ones I have not found show up. Any idea how I can do this? In other words I want the ones I have already found to not show up at all-- making it look like my area has only a handful of caches rather than a bunch of found ones that hide the ones I haven't found. Thanks for your help! Melissa
  10. I checked: Generate : Monday Run query once and then remove it. Show me 250 caches. Of any type and Any container That are on my watch list. Terrain and Difficulty greater than or equal to 1 States: Alabama, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee (these are the states we are driving through) From Origin: Postal code 49544 AH-HA... in the Within radius section, I had typed 2000 miles. It changed it to 500. That's probably why I'm having the problem. Most of the caches I'm watching are probably over 500 miles away. Can I change this, or should I run another query from our destination in Alabama? Placed During: None Selected My email address GPS Exchange Format .zip format Whew... I'm feeling better already. Thanks for making me take a closer look. ~~Melissa
  11. I'm trying to load all the caches on my "watch list" into my PDA. I have only loaded caches into it once before, so I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing... but I have my notes from last time, so I think I can get that part done. I have done 4 queries to retrieve the caches on my "watch list" and each time it only returns 39 hits. I have 150 or so caches on that list. We are leaving on vacation in the morning, and I had hoped to get this to work today. Otherwise I'll be up all night printing pages. UGH! So, please help. I've tried running the query checking as few boxes as possible, but no luck. Any suggestions??? Thanks, Me and You CJAM
  12. Ok, I just purchased a Zire palm. I have a premium membership to geocaching.com. Easy GPS is installed on my computer. I paid for and think I installed Cachemate on my palm. I did my first query and received a zipped file of GPX caches. I unzipped the file, and it went into Easy GPS on my computer. I'd like to transfer that data to my palm, but I have no idea how. How exactly (step by step please!) do I run the Cachemate converter. Or isn't this my problem? I think that's all the info I know! I've been working on this all morning, and I need your help. Thanks in advance. ME and You CJAM
  13. Ever since the new maps started... (last summer), I haven't been able to access them. We are going to be doing some travelling next month, and we'd like to hit some caches along the way. But alas, I can't find the state maps to show me which caches are close to where we are going to be. I go to "Hide and Seek a Cache." Then, I click on the state. But a map doesn't appear. Rather a list of the newest caches comes up. There is not a link to "map" on the top of the page. The only link there is for a "new search" or for the consecutive pages of caches in the state. Please help! Me and You CJAM
