  1. I have a Jack Russel and, I live near a tennis court, I also have a thousand tennis balls in a drum. She finds the ones humans can't. If you put a tennis ball in a cache I guarentee she will find it. If she is playing with a ball, and I dump it, and a few hundred on a pile she can pick out the one she was playing with. What a nose! 2. If you did caches with X,and Y, and Z says he did the same caches with X,and Y, he could have.... 1..come back with X,and Y later. 2...been invisible, and you did not see him with X,and Y... 3..been doing what you think. CHEATING!
  3. It has been a few years, but I hunted that area and had to get a permit from the paper co. the office I went to was across the Scandaga river from Speculator not far off rt.8 I would say not far from the NE corner of Lake Pleasant. Good Luck
  4. A real arrow will be picked up and probably be taken.
  5. Here's what I would do.. from wherever you can get on I 95 N. Just N of Chester & S. of Philly get on I 476 N {Pa turnpike NE Extention] This will take you all the way up to between Wilkes-Barre, and Scranton at Dupont where you will take I81 north. Take I 81 N.a few miles until you hit I 84 above Scranton.near [41*25. 106 075*36.667] Take I 84 to the Mt Cob exit to rt 348 near{41*24.414 075*30.859]. Rt 348 will run right into Rt.590 which will tke you right into Hawley. My gues is 150 miles from I 95
  6. Hey What happened?................Did Matt Cat get a girlfriend or what? It's been almost a week.
  7. Johnny. You just missed your chance this Fathers day weekend At the Noxen Firemans Anual Rattlesnake Roundup.
  8. Most multis you will get the co-ords to part 1 which when found will give you the co-ords to part two,and on, and on. But sometimes along the way you may have to physically have to figgure out the co-ords from a puzzle at one of the stages {a sign,or writing on a monument]. In your case you may be looking for a missing number. A=1st# in l may well mean the missng number A you are looking for is the first number in the length of someting .{if you were looking at a sign on a bridge which gave its length} It would help if you let us know what cache it is
  9. Here's something I put on a cache page that seams to do the trick. PLEASE BE CAREFULL WHEN YOU HANDLE THE CONTAINER! PUT IT BACK EXACTLY AS YOU FIND IT. IF YOU DON'T THE NEXT CACHER WILL BE MAD AT YOU! HIT THE BRICKS
  10. Here's one that I did. {I love working with rope] First you find a spot where the last three digits of the co-ords are just odd enough to add to the confusion. Mine are N .115 and W.551. Then you tie a length of cord to the base of a tree where the coiled cord could be hidden out of sight. Tie a bunch of knots in the cord at about 18 inches apart Now get a some of flat rocks and write numbers on the bottoms from 1 to whatever with a magic marker. Spread them around the tree at varying distances making sure that each knot is directly above one of the flat rocks Now in the cache discription you give the clue to the final with the instructions, { in my case]... " North..It's not 5, It's not 5 it's not 1 West...It's not 1, It's not 1, It's not 5 Being that under knot #5 is the rock with the #1 written on the bottom ,and under rock #1 is a #5 written on the bottom.Which gives you N.115 Same thing with the West under knot #5 is a 1,and under knot 1 is a #5which gives you W.551. As you can see only two knots with numbers were used, but a bunch of decoy rocks with as many numbers as you want can be placed to add more confusion. Even if you get it right you might copy the numbers down wrong. O'BG http://nepageocachers.org
  11. Don't worry about a cache, get yourself out of harms way. I have a cache along the Susqehanna river that survived nearly 40 feet of water.Box Of Blues As long as it's a good amo can and its snug in it's hiding place the worst that will happen wil be you digging it out.
  12. Silly me. I went looking for a cache listed as being a bit under the weather. So, I brought along a new container. Not interested in adopting it. Just helping out. Then he got PO and took the new container and put the old one back. Yes he could have handeled it better or we would not be having this discussion. #1 contact the owner #2 If no contact could be made contact the local reviewer and state your case. If the owner has been absent for a long period of time , and there are problems there may be a possibility that the cache can be archived, and you can place a brand new cache in its place. If so it could be archived almost immediatly. No 30 day waiting period just go out and place the new cache. Here's the course I took on a cache that was not found in nearly two years, and the owner has been absent for one http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...40-a6757106dc9e Request made Mar.22.......New cache listed in it's place March24.
  13. Yes you could have handled it better, and now you know not to replace a cache utill all options have been exausted. The policy is not stupid, but thinking you could just go out there and do what you want when you can plainly see someone else has "DIBS" on adopting it might be close. You couldn't just leave the new container ? ...Jeeeeeez!
  14. Still in the organizing stage, and up and running..NEPAG. Northeast Pa geocachers ...Luzerne, Lackawanna,Bradford,Susquahanna, Pike, Wayne, Monroe, Carbon,Columbia, and Sullivan Countys. events are already in the works Come check things out http://nepageocachers.org
  15. My thought would be that I would not be involved at all if that were the case. For health reasons I am somewhat reluctant to venture out into unknown territory to search for a cache, but I can spend a lot of time planning and prepairing a cache to put out in an area that I am familliar with.
  16. Problem solved: My fault all the way.I was informed that I may be subsituting an OH, for a ZERO. I feel sooo Dumb

Yes I have a similar problem.. Matt has wiped my data out twice so I can start over yet I still am not registered. This time I registered and it didn't recognize my password, but it did allow me to try to retrieve it and sent me a new one... I figured I could then log on and change it back to what I wanted, but it didn't recognize the password it had just given me so I still can't log on. I'll try again tomorrow. [/quot Ed... do what I did to get back in. Go into your history and log in from the last time you were in before the foul up. matcat will fix it. OBG

I give Up!.....I tried to register, but I was caught up in an endless loop of your username is wrong,or your password is wrong,or Whatever. One time it tells me my username is wrong, and when I try to re- register it tells me I am already registered with that name. can't even do the forgot your password routine......????????

Hehe...I wish! There are really a bunch of storefronts and that wall mural in the town of Roslyn, WA, where the show was filmed. (Remember Cicely's partner, Roslyn? Her name is a bit of a thanks to the locals!) Sorry to say, I'm in NJ, but I usually exercise no full acceptance of that reality! I don't understand why everyone is sorry to say they are from NJ. I spend a lot of time there fishing at the shore, and think it's rather nice. On second thought I spend most of my time in South Jersey. I have four relatives strategically placed between Sandy Hook, and Cape May, and anyone who has a boat at the shore is my new best friend .LOL O’BGI
