Wunderdog

Well, my bro called garmin, and the unit is winging its way back for a check up. It will be interesting to see what the problem is.

My brother just upgraded to a Map60c. I have a 76s, and we are both familiar with the Garmin products. We spent the better part of two hours trying to get the Metroguide 4.xx and the US Topo maps to "show" on the 60c. We've loaded and re-loaded the maps, made sure they are "present" in the listed mapsets on the unit, have map detail set to "normal', all the zoom levels are on "automatic", and we have zoomed in and out. All to no avail. We cannot get the Metroguide roads nor the topo dedtail to show on the screen (yes, "show all' is selected). Is there some setting that we've missed, or is his unit bogus? From reading other posts here, it appears that both of these map sets should work on the 60c (accepting that autorouting may not work in the unit with the Metroguide maps). I hope that we are just missing something. Any ideas??? Thanks.
