  1. TAG is in Atwater?? I had no idea..........that's pretty cool.........we're heading up to Lassen in a few days....I bet TAG would love an adventure about now!!!!!!!!:laughing::laughing:

Or... you could pick CVC Tag!!! up on the way home and not have to get into the Tar and Feather line.

Oh but that would be so safe and boring!

  2. Ah, a J-O-B, I remember those days and how much it gets in the way of ones REAL LIFE!!

And even without having one of them, sometimes there are just too many things to do and too little time. Hopefully we can work it out with that September 19th weekend. Thanks, guys!

  3. Yes, you can delete a post by another cacher if you own the cache. In this case, I doubt any of them will protest. I guess they figure, well, we got away with it on enough of them, it doesn't matter about 3 or 4.

And your boss is right, but it's still annoying. :o Today we're going to let it go and move on!!

  4. Yes, we deleted logs. Others in Merced will have non-accurate logs, too. (And all up and down from Sacramento to Southern California for that matter) It's up to them to delete or not.

We've had suspicions about different logs in the past and didn't delete. Figured people had a conscience, but this case was a bit different because we knew the facts.....we were actually caching with part of the "team" and realized when the rest logged a find that they were bogus. We even went to each of our caches and checked log sheets. We were fair and checked the facts. It's disappointing and sad for us. We get Greg's thought about wanting to quit caching. And all this after the Geowoodstock high where we came away thinking such wonderful things about all cachers. :o

  5. Yes, well, we are slow. It's taken us almost 6 years to get to 2,000. One reason is that we just go when we can; a few a month here and there. The other reason is that we don't CHEAT. Yes, cheat. I'm sad to say I've discovered some cheating that happened after Geowoodstock. It makes me sad that people are so into their numbers that they have to resort to that. B) Very sad.

  6. Welcome Trysha! And don't believe Ted; the nicest cachers are MAC, Merced Area Cachers. Ok, so some of them are trouble makers, but still sweet! Come cache with us soon.......like maybe June 28th!!!

  7. Hey Ted (and Rosa)

I see by a recent cache log that we were at Marble Quarry the same weekend! Too bad we missed each other, it would have been nice to say hi. We were at the end of the loop with our geocaching banner (made by Outrageous Fortunes) prominently displayed. Maybe next time!

  8. Sadly, I think it's happening everywhere. I had a special coin given to me and I held on to it for a long time. Finally I decided to circulate it so others could enjoy it. After being picked up and placed somewhere in the San Jose area........poof!.........it was gone, never to be seen again. I can't imagine why cachers would want to do that to other cachers. We also have put out a few travel bugs and they've all disappeared, too. We don't do trackables anymore. ;)

  9. Wow! Did you read Tag's latest log?? And to think Mr. BoGA thought taking Tag out of the country was a bad thing! Someone got poor Tag locked in the slammer. Ok, a safe, but the idea is sort of the same. Thanks to Sonorazark's persistence, Tag is free again! I think we from MACland better plan an intervention ASAP. ;)
