  1. Thanks to everyone for their help! I was thinking that an additional souvenir would appear with the code on it after getting 35/35 (a fourth souvenir). Then I thought you would enter the code and get another, fifth souvenir. This turned out not to be the case. When some of the early posters indicated looking closer at the first three souvenirs, I was able to figure it out. I managed to get the final, fourth souvenir. Thanks again! It is not often that I get all of the souvenirs from the promotional games. Nice to get this one. Thanks! --ducttaperocks
  2. Folks: I have successfully found all the clues, gems and the necessary 35/35 caches after that. When I click the "Access The Lock" link, I get the "enter the code" message with the hint to check my souvenirs. Problem is, there is no new souvenir with the code added to my souvenirs. I have the "Briefed on the case," "Evidence Collected," and "Jewels Recovered" souvenirs, but nothing else. Am I missing something? Do I need to find 36 additional caches instead of just 35 for the souvenir to appear? Thanks very much in advance for any help you can give. --ducttaperocks
  3. Wow! Thanks to everyone for the extremely informative posts. I will try some of the methods suggested by you guys. It is clear that my "hot glue" is not going to cut it. The suggestion of using Gorilla, etc., glue to affix the magnet, and ALSO using duct tape sounds like a good place to start. I think I need to purchase some stronger magnets to compensate for the tape. Any recommendations on where to get stronger force magnets? About 1 to 2 inches long and about the shape and diameter of a No. 2 pencil? Again, I very much appreciate all the help.
  4. Folks: I like hiding preforms that I glue magnets onto. I have been using hot glue to attach the magnets to the preforms, but after a few months the magnets either come unstuck with the glue remaining affixed to the preforms or the glue detaches from the preform entirely. I have hidden caches of this type of construction in Florida and New Hampshire with the same effect. Is there a better type of glue to use that would withstand high heat (Florida) and extreme cold (New Hampshire)? I think the preforms are made of polypropylene plastic or polyethylene plastic, but not sure. I also experienced the same effect with thus glue on bison tubes.
  5. Oh, OK gotcha. Thanks for the reply.
  6. Good morning! I am writing to see if anyone can give me some help with the souvenirs section of the website. For some reason they are not showing up for me. I have one (for Florida where I live), but others aren't showing up. I attended Cacheapalooza 8 and that one didn't show up. Also, I just made finds in Puerto Rico and in Grand Turk and those aren't showing up either. Anyone else experiencing this? Not a big deal or anything, but was just curious if there was a setting or something that I haven't checked. Thanks very much in advance for any help you can give.
