  1. Wanted: Dressel Dragons personal coin (#1 on the list) and 2008 Happy New year For trade: Blue quad cacher, USA Bumper sticker coin, 2 evil micros (1 glow 1 regular), & a Coo Coo for Caching. I may even be willing to trade one of my sets of lizards when they come in. But it would have to be for both coins.
  2. Count me in. I dont have a personal coin, but I do have a couple here that I can part with. I would even give the receiver a choice of what coin they would want.
  3. Wow! I am gonna have to give this a try. Might go visit my niece just to borrow her play dough....lol
  4. Sounds awesome. What do you make the tokens out of? I am very interested.
  5. I got my v1 Mailbox today. And surprise, it was in gold. Very nice coin. Now to wait for v3. Thanks for the trade LadyBee4T
  6. Not too long ago I was going into the site from the wife's comp (testing out something and needed a web site). Just when I got in there I noticed the banner. If anyone knows me, in the winter when I cache I wear this huge, puffy, but warm, red coat. Cant miss me as I trudge through the snow...lol. As soon as I seen the pic, I knew it was me and what cache it was. Funny part was, I just did that cache a week prior. I frantically tried to do a print screen on her comp (laptop, buttons are in the wrong place), and send it to me. I was so excited, just like a little kid....lol. When I got on my comp and went in, there it was again. I hit refresh and it went away. Hit it again and there I was. Called my cache buddy and told him to get into the site. He was already there and seen it and was about to call me (recognized the coat first). The cache is The Great Umbrella Cache II - GCVDVF
  7. I would say almost every cacher has done this. I know when I first started, couple of the local cachers would give me the cords the day they hid it. I would not go out to get the cache till it was published, but it did make it easier to just run out the door with everything ready. I texted a fellow cacher, who had asked a what a FTF was, and gave him the cords to my cache that just got published. He made the FTF, but said it felt like he cheated. Told him he didnt cheat, just got the cords before he got home from work. 10 minutes after him, another cacher was there. I really dont see a problem with it. I know quite a few around here do it. But they dont tell just one cacher, they tell many. Makes a race out of it....lmao
  8. That is one awesome coin! I want one! I grew up (well, I never grew up, just got older) on the Transformers. I recently purchased all the Generation 1 DVD sets. Loved watching them. Oh please, tell what I would have to do to get such an awesome coin? I usually never beg, but this time, I just may have to. It would totally make my day/week/month/year/life to have this coin in my collection.
  9. I am giving the whole thing, it is not real long, just alot to type....lol Servings:5 Prep time: 5 minutes Cook time: 1 hr Serve with Grilled toast (plain or lightly coated with garlic powder). Fried potatoes in butter and garlic. What you need: 2 Sheets foil 3 lbs pork baby back ribs 1 Tbsp packed brown sugar 1 Tbsp paprika 2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 cup water 1 1/2 cup Bar B Que sauce (I love K.C Masterpiece) What to do: 1. Preheat grill to medium (normal cook temp for burgers will do) (I use charcoal, gives better flavor, but is a little harder to use to cook seeing that you dont have a constant flame. So you can do this with a propane grill if prefered). 2. Center half of ribs in a single layer on each sheet of foil. Combine brown sugar and spices; rub over ribs, turning to coat evenly 3. Bring up foil sides. Double fold top and one end to seal packet.Through open end, add 1/4 cup water. Double fold remaining end leaving room for heat circulation inside. Make 2 packets. 4. Grill 45 minutes to an hour in covered grill. Remove ribs from foil, place ribs on grill. 5. Brush Ribs with Bar B Ques Sacue. Continue grilling 10 - 15 minutes brushing with sauce and turning every 5 minutes. This is my personal recipe and I try to make them at least once a year. They are very yummy and practically fall off the bone. I have also done this same recipe on an open fire while camping. Just have to watch a little more and make sure not to over cook. Enjoy!
  10. I got my mailbox v2 that I won on ebay today. Cant wait for v1 to show up and v3 to go on sale. Also got my Road to Scramento big coin, 2 USA bumper sticker coins, and my WWSD coin from Geoswag. With all these coins that are coming I really need to get them cataloged, pictured, activated, cards cut out and them all placed in my book. Good thing the wife works this weekend, I know what I will be working on.
  11. Now mind you, I did not mean for this to happen. Here is the story. I was lookin for a car to drive to work and maybe caching. Since gas is so high. I bought a 1989 Mazda MX-6 off one of the local truck drivers that come in. Very nice clean car. When we transfered the title I got a plate. I laughed as soon as I saw it and thought it was kinda appropriate. The 9270 is very close to my home location N41 09.440 w078 40.759. The plate I want to get for the truck is either gonna say "Sparti1" or "SPRTCUS"
  12. Everywhere you go, you say "That could be a good hiding spot" And yes I do this...wife gets irritated. But my cachin bud always agrees with me as I with him
  13. Ok, I have not been here in the forums that long. What the heck is a mystery coin? And how can I get one? Sorry if these have been answered in this thread alread, but 5 pages worth of reading started to put me to sleep. But from what I did read, I really want a mystery coin or 2...or more.
  14. My budget was drawn tight this month. But through my wife, who really thought they were cute and cool, she told me to order 2 sets. I cant wait to get them.
  15. Scared me there for a moment. Came in, looked for Northeast, couldnt find it....double checked, still not there. Started to wonder if I was in the right forum or not. Then I seen that it was changed. Thats what I get for not paying attention
  16. Hmmmm....is my name on there somewhere and I am missing it? I have scanned over it several times and cant seem to see it. Am I not looking at the right pic? Maybe it's because it is 12:30 am and I have had a long, humid, nasty night at work? Will check back in the morning.
  17. Thanks for the heebeegeebees. I HATE SPIDERS! I had a rubber lizard scare me once. Sad part was, it was toward winter, snow on the ground. Cache was tucked back up under the moss near a spring. Went to grab the cache and there say a rubber lizard. Made me jump back. That is about the only thing that has "jumped" out and scared me. Oh wait...we were on our way to a cache. Walking along an old logging road. We came to an old washout. Just as we crossed, some roughed grouse scared the life right outta us.
  18. Oh hooray! I got my NIght Hunter coin (Thanks!). It looks so cool. I got a PT trade, which was a Shaggy tag. Gotta love the gang from Scooby-Doo. Shaggy kinda reminds me of...me...lol I also got a great little surprise. The PT Fairy sent me a very cute tag. Wife and I just love it.
  19. It's not like you can take it with you when you die...but then again, we could always bury them with ya. Nah. Too much weight, plus you aint being buried. - my wife
  20. Well, seeing that I just found this, figured I would add my self. Was born and raised and still live in DuBois. Dont know where that is? Well it is right along I-80. Kinda northeast of that dang groundhog (lol). I know PeachyPA, waynesguitars, Fourriverratz, and a few others here. Did not see anyone here that is in dubois, just around, or not living here at the moment (Directed to TGH). Me and a few others are tryin to UP the caches around here. So far, so good. Found caching after buyin a GPS for ATVing. Kept seeing the word GEOCACHE in the stupid thing, and then saw it on our local forum. Had to ask and ever since I have been hooked. Kinda got my wife in on it too, she doesnt like to go all the time. Look me up around here, can take you to some of the better caches or just help ya find one that has been buggin ya. Check out 969 Cache - my yard.
  21. First time I ever found one in someones yard, I was as nervous as ever. Felt like I shouldnt be there, but was supposed to be there. I still feel that way once in awhile, but not alot anymore
