I bought and activated two travel bugs. They both appear on my "Search Trackable Items" page. TB #1 shows as being in my possession, which is correct. However, the TB #2 shows as "location unknown". Somehow I must have done something unintentional that causes TB #2 to no longer show as being in my possession. I did drop off TB #2 in a cache on Aug. 5th; when I try to log that event, only TB #1 shows in the drop-down list, so I can't log anything about TB #2. Is there a way for me to return TB #2 to my on-line possession, so that I can log the fact that I dropped it in that cache? Thanks, Dan

Thanks for the suggestions. How do you get pocket queries onto the Delorme Earthmate PN-20 or the Magellan? Doesn't the geocaching.com website say that transfer is only supported to the Garmins? How does transfer of pocket query output to the non-Garmin GPS units work?

I'd like to go paperless without getting into a PDA and special software for it - just have the GPS unit itself. I'd like to be able to down load the results from a pocket query to the GPS, and then have access to the same info that used to be on the printed page... but right there on the GPS. I think the Garmin Colorado does this, but what, if any, cheaper units do it? and which do you recommend? and why? thanks, Dan

Webupdater says my Etrex Legend Cx (bought in late Sept) needs no webupdate. I assume that means the updates mentioned above are all on the unit...? Is there a way I can check the software version actually on the unit? I haven't been able to dig throught the menues (e.g., setup) and find anything that displays software versions.

Trying to use Webupdater 2.4 to update firmware on Garmin Etrex Legend Cx. Problem 1: how do I find the firmware version currently on my new Garmin Etrex Legend Cx. I can't find any reference to firmware version in the manual or the menus. Problem 2: update aborts. The Webupdater finds my GPS (which is attached via USB, and is on), says the system has "the latest software version" (is this the system software? or firmware? or are they the same?). Then it offers to check for additional updates, and finds GPSMAP 60cx/60CSx/76Cx/76CSx and described changes from version 2.90 to 3.0; i click thru to select this, the download goes ok, then it does the update, but when verifying starts, it hangs, the unit turns off, and I get an error message about not being able to communicate with the device (well, it turned off!). Help?
