I've used the Garmin GPSmap 60Cx with Topo US 2008 for Mac mapset four at least four years. I was always very satisfied with the device and it's accuracy. About a month ago I used the GPS when I went for a walk around the neighborhood to measure the distance and it appeared to be off by about 400 ft to the northeast. Later I took it to several other locations and got the same result. At first I thought there was an issue with the GPS but I compared the coordinates with both a Nuvi and an iPhone using the Geocaching app. All three had the same coordinates- the iphone and Nuvi show the correct location on the map while the Garmin GPSmap 60Cx is off. So I write Garmin support and they are telling me the problem is with the 1 to 100,000 mapset I have. They can replicate the problem on a similar scale map. My problem is that I have been using this device and mapset for the last four years and have found hundreds of geocaches, used the tracks feature for many, many miles of biking. I can't buy that it has always been of by 400 ft to the northeast. I would have never found a single cache. I am very suspicious that when I did a recent software/firmware update it screwed up the relationship between the device and old mapset. Garmin support claims the map was always off and that I need to shell out $129 for a new mapset. Does this make sense to anyone else?

Yes the maps are installed and I can see the waypoints (caches) on the map- it looks nice. Now I want to print the map to take on my merry way caching. Yeah... I thought about Grab as choice of desperation (nothing against grab) When I pay $80 for Topo for Mac I expect to be able to print the maps!!!!

Mac user here. I just received Garmin Topo 2008 for Mac. I have used Mapsource Topo for years on a PC. I downloaded Bobcat as part of the Topo installation. Trouble is I can't find any detailed documentation on how to use Bobcat. Can anyone point me in the right direction- I can't find anything on the Garmin site. Most urgently- I need to find out how to print the maps!!!!!!!! Thanks Carl
