Can I post 40 or so until I get to 49th?

I was inpressed by the one leap of my second coin. Buffalo Wings - BN Tracking History (1699.2mi) Team Sand Dollar made a trade with me for a 2 coins, this is the second. Dropped it in the snow in Florida and it has made one move and one move only. The first made a nice move of Tracking History (242mi) to check off another state on its list but that is nothing compared to this move. This is the reason I am into coins. Seeing the interesting places they go and the people they meet. Keep it moving.

I am minting a coin right now, and found out two things tonight: 1. I was looking to make a trade with someone and they said they were already trading for my coin but not with me. Wow, that seemed weird and fast all and the same time. Hasn't been minted but already being trade passed my hands. 2. Went to a seeking list and saw my coin yet was never contacted by that person(3) at least 3 list on another website. I have listened and entertained offers of trades with all who emailed and contacted me. I just find this strange that they would try and contact me. Are both these things normal in the world of geocoins?

2 of what? It was a joke aimed at hair-trigger geocoin addicts who jump at these threads, and make possible the sale of solely commercial, poorly deigned, and poor quality geocoins...never mind... Jamie No problem. I like it. There are alot of those people out there. I am glad geocaching is my addiction and not coins. The cost difference is considerable.

Is there a template out there for us who are new. If not maybe someone should develope and have it pinned? Would be willing to help. Think I have put something nice together.

Why is this policy? The file is bigger and takes out more space or the icon takes longer to load?

I have sold one coin so for but working with another cacher on a second. In both cases I have chosen to do the following: 1. Post an add with all the information that you asked for. 2. Take pre-orders 3. Post picture of production samples. (shows commitment to make the coin seeing as when you get the samples you have to already pay for the mold approx $250 in total cost) 4. Invoice pre-sales and place order with mint. (14-17 days delivery time to me) 5. Get coins and ship with 3-4 days. I believe the artwork I have gotten is very realistic, making it easier to visualize the coin. How can you commit to something with rough artwork, unless you are just trying to get feedback on the design. I know I have done that on the second coin. I haven't been here that long and don't know all the coins. Posted the second idea for feedback and also to find out if there are other coins like it already. Didn't can it pre-sales, called it looking for feedback.

Just full of ideas... What if someone developes a generic back to a geocoin (like the TB). Will cut the cost for the mold and bring the cost of a coin down by a nickel or dime. " Do not keep me, I am a GEOCOIN and someone is watching me travel" "Trackable at geocaching.com PC####" It will help a little....

How about something like this? Would cost about $4.63 to make and about $5.40 including shipping. A one side color coin with tracking and icon can be made at this cost, it doesn't have to be this simple you ust have to have someone willing to front the money and make the coins believing they can sell 1000. Make no money for their effort and take no coins for free. I still think someone who steals the coins will steal this if they don't have one. And a collector is going to keep it and not release the ones they buy. If they buy more then one then you might be able to get them to release them. Sell in sets of 2-4 with the hope that a collector will release 1-3 of these. If you could do all this you could sell for the same as like a travel bug, s/h not included. 0 to 3: $5.99 per item of same size and color 4 to 7: $5.00 per item of same size and color 8 or more: $4.25 per item of same size and color If this caught on then you could produce a new one 3-4 times a year. Just to provide some variety. I realized I jumped around but what the hey, lots of ideas for people.

A "Needs Maintenance" does NOT add to your find count...you will need to also log a find. thanks

When I log a Needs Maintenance does it add to by found caches number? Or do I need to log "found it" as well?

If you are having issues with spinner, check out All About Coins. This is from their pins website but should be able to do the same with coin. I am already working with them on a dangler from the pins but to use with a coin.

More software to download. Can I sort in MapSource that came with 60CSX?

The roads are the main roads but nothing past that. How do I get more? Also, was caching this weekend in state park and needed topo to help (no roads there), where do I get that? What are the best for this and can I use both together?

Why are the caches sorted by date and not as the route goes? I am going from denver to cheyenne and the route looks great on map but the list of caches is all over the place. Is there anything I can do?
