  1. Cool, I've been to their site, but didn't know how to do that. Thanks!
  2. I fairly new to caching, but want to get the wife and kids out this weekend and cure them of their muggledom. I would like to cache someplace with a large concentration of caches in a nice nature setting. But we will be bringing the youngest muggle (16months) so nothing involving bushwhacking. We live right near Hannah park, and so that is out. Anyone know another place around hear that would suit our needs? I was thinking of someplace up north on the islands but don't know the area that well. Any suggestion would be great, and if anyone wants to meet us and show us around, even better!
  3. I bought my Explorist 600 used and did not receive the original CD. I am having a heck of a time finding the Magellan Geocache Manager software. Does anyone know where I can download it or how to get a copy>
  4. I could not replicate your problem on my 600, but I have a possible suggestion. Are you using and SD-card? This is a common problem I have seen with many digicams. Just like and type of memory, flash memory speeds very a lot. Buying a higher speed card could help. Try here: Newegg SD cards Look for something 100x or faster, and read the reviews, some cards don't last as long as the name brands. Can't go wrong with Sandisk or Corsair, but I own a couple Patriot memory products and they are a great value and have never failed me. Plus Newegg has great customer service, I have returned several (non-memory) products with no hassle at all. Don't know if this will help you solve your problem. But it's something to think about.. I have seen improvments from upgrading to faster card in everything from my explorist 600 to my cell phone.
  5. It's been frustrating, but you can ONLY transfer files to your explorist as a removable hard drive. Some file from different versions of mapsend don't work either, so I have to eport them, import them to mapsend lite, and then copy them to explorist. I just keep everything in a gpsr folder in my documents, and then hand upload everything when I am finished in the software. I have been very disapointed with this though. This poor software support would be enough to keep me from buying another Magellan gpsr. I don't know of any other software I can use with this thing or I would switch.
