  1. There are a lot of ways that the various search criteria can be combined and I'm sure they all would be useful to some degree. The one that I think would be the MOST useful though, is being able to narrow a keyword search by state. Whenever I've done a keyword search, I almost always feel that it returns too much information. I don't care about caches in any other state most of the time. I would suggest limiting a keyword search to your home state automatically, but I definately can see needing to seach other states sometimes, but very seldom do you want to search the entire world IMHO.
  2. Wow, you guys are absolutely crazy. I did most of them this summer and its a great park to walk the trails in, but I don't have any desire at all to try with the temps near freezing.
  3. If you click the link to create a printable page and then toggle the map to hide it and then re-display it, IE 6.0 crashes on me each time. I tried it on IE 7.0 and did not exerience the crash. Can anyone else reproduce? I know "who uses IE 6.0 anymore?" I wish I didn't, but I don't have a choice. Bill
  4. I'll throw my voice in too. I don't like the new format as much as I liked the older. Maybe it is possible to mix the two formats together. For instance, the "additional information" panel could be tabbed allowing us to select the information to be seen. A tab for "filtering" would show the panel like we see it now with the filtering options. Another tab for "names" would list the names and number the caches on the screen. Also, the icons are much smaller on the map. The older icons were bigger and tended to colide more, but I would rather have the bigger icons still. Bill
  5. We've reserved site 45 at Area B. I made the reservations before discovering this thread. Anyone else at the other one? It seems to have more tree there, and I liked that.
  6. I've got a Garmin ForeTrex 101 low-end backpacking GPS and have lately been having difficulty finding caches and think that my unit is somehow not calibrated correctly. I didnt find any menu options for that however. Is it possible to re-calibrate a GPS? is it necessary at times? or this just the poor performace that you see from a low-end device? Thanks Bill
