Doctor A

I don't know if I qualify or not for this cointest, since I'm not all that new. But I've been pretty much lurking recently as I've gotten into coins, so I figure this was a good way to introduce myself. My name is Angela, Doctor A is my caching name. I'm a Clinical Psychologist, recently relocated to Fresno, CA. I was introduced to caching by my family. Sister got started into it first, got parents hooked and they dragged me out. I didn't do a whole lot of caching until the last year or so and especially since moving to CA in Oct 2007, I've been doing a lot. As caching has increased, I've been running into a lot more coins. I got one from a cache that was a local club coin, after being encouraged to go out late one night to be a FTF to get the coin, and from there was enthralled. I decided to buy some after mom and sister gave me a bunch for Christmas. Since then I've just become hooked! It looks like I actually own 12 coins, according to my profile that I just checked. But I admit I was activating my coins at first but in the last month or so I've gotten ones that aren't activated. So I guess I technically own more than 12. I'm not meeting many of the requirements for entering am I? My biggest question was just recently posted on this forum I saw, and that was the dilemma of whether or not to activate coins you have or not. I read some really good ideas and thoughts about that and may have to implement some fo the ideas, like buying two of each and activating one and not activating the other. So now my new question is, how do you store or display your coins? I've been playing around with different ideas and tried coin photo album pages but they're way too flimsy, so I'm trying to figure out what might work, most preferrably in some sort of album format?

I just saw this on ebay a week or so ago and marked it to watch b/c it looked pretty neat, and it didn't go for too much. Like my other post, I was browsing ebay and the geocoins there and saw a coin that was some sort of pi/math/soduku coin that went for something like $60. I hadn't seen it before and did a search b/c I was just curious as to why it went so high but couldn't find out anything about it anywhere. Anyone know the story behind it?

I often look on ebay to see what geocoins I might just need to find, and I saw these "I love geocaching" coins there today. I like them a lot and would love to find one. I usually find ones I like on ebay and then try to find who originally sells them, but I can't seem to find them available anywhere. Anyone know anything about them?

I'm trying to find out if the evil micro with the evil looking face is still available to purchase anywhere? it looks like oak coins made it, but I can't find it on any of their links? Also, I'm wanting to get a geocat coin, the one with the cat face- anyone have one of those for sale? Please contact me through geocaching.com website email.

I've seen the license to cache geocoins and on a foreign site saw where they will engrave them with your username. Is that available somewhere through a US site for an affordable rate? Thanks!

I just tried running the PQ that would give me my stats. I got an e-mail message that says there's an attachment, but I can either not open the message at all, or the text parts of the message show up and no attachment. Yesterday I was having the same problem- running a PQ for 100 local caches, and I did it three times and each time the same thing- the message wouldn't open up or no attachment was there. What's really frustrating is that the one with my stats now can't be run for another 7 days and I can't get to the info. Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm looking for a few coins. Don't know if this board is only for trades or not, but I don't have coins to trade, I'm just getting started with the coins. But I'd really like to see if anyone might have for sale (if that's allowed here?) the geocat that I've seen that's a cat's face, the PDA paperless caching coin, and any coin that might be related to "geolove" if there is such a thing. Please send me an email if you have any of these things.

Sorry if this isn't in the right area, but I'm hoping someone might be able to answer a cachemate question. Once I start indicating that caches are found, how can I then go back to that ever growing list of found ones and sort them by date? It gets harder each time I go out, to enter my finds, b/c I have to scroll through the ever longer list of found ones and try to remember which ones were found yesterday. Anyone know of a way to achieve this?
