  1. I have MapSend Streets & Destinations Canada...it came as a bundled package when I purchased my SportTrak Map
  2. I have a Magellan SportTrak map GPS. I'd like to be able to transfer a track from the GPS to a map. I have both MS S&T and also the mapsend software that I purchased with the GPS. Can I do this and if so how ? Thanks, Paul
  3. Oh Man...guess that means i gotta check on my cache "Ghosts of Uniacke"...and it's a 2 hour hike. I don't suppose I can log my own cache as a find, can I ???? LOL...just kidding Seriously mine should be ok as there was a lot less damage out our way as compared to the City & other areas butI should go take a look. Paul N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  4. I'd say that you'd have to be pretty keen to collect 100 finds here. I think there is about 164 caches listed in the Province now. Paul N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  5. Congrtaulations to "The Red Fox Raiders" from Nova Scotia on their 100th find. N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  6. I bought my Magellan SporTrak from Prairie Geomatics and found them to be knowledgeable & quick to deliver. http://www.prairie.mb.ca/ N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  7. oops...Ghosts of Uniacke....GCG4GZ...sorry N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  8. AM I getting paranoid ? Why hasn't anyone visited my cache lately...last find was June 15 over 100 days ago.....Uniacke Raiders GCG4GZ.....does it seem too hard for most people ? LOL...oh well....I'll soon have to go visit it myself. [] N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  9. Does anyone know anything about actually repairing a 315. It got wet in the rain & the screen is now buggered up. It's no longer under warranty. Magellan told me to contact Bill's Electronics in Ontario but he says they are not repairable. They'll swap it for a new 315 for $135 + taxes & shipping. I don't think a 315 is worth that much... Anyway, does anyone else have a suggestion ? has anyone actually been able to repair these units ? Of course, in the meantime, I have a shiney new SportTrak Map on order but still miss my usually dependable 315. N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  10. I am using geobuddy to convert a wapoint file so that S&T will read it & put pushpins on the map. When I try to convert one of the files I get an error message "Unknown tag:9". Is anyone familiar with this? Thanks, Paul N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  11. Dare I ask but...... Has anyone thought of having some sort of "event cache" in Nova Scotia ? N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  12. ok, dumb question time :-) How do you put a map of your cache area on your cache page ? Thanks, Paul N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  13. You all will be glad to hear that I finally found one of those "lock-n-lock" containers. I found it at one of the bigger Super Stores in Halifax. I hid it yesterday (my first cache) and had my daughter look for it today...so far so good...tonight I'll submit my cache to the "cache gods" & see what happens. Thanks for the help, Paul N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  14. I looked in 1 SuperStore & a couple of Crappy Tires but no luck so far. I'll check another SuperStore & Zeller's tonight. Most of the container lids barely stay on let alone provide water resistance. Containers for food seem to generally be "tighter" but are on the smallish side. N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  15. What would be involved ? I work in Halifax & live just outside about a 40 minute drive. Paul N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  16. really ? wow...thanks N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  17. In Nova Scotia they are "usually" owned by Natural Resources who make them available to local community groups for trail development. Paul N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  18. Anyone know where I can purchase a "starfrite lock-n-lock" container. Saw this used in a local cache & thought it would be great for the cache I am about to place. I am located in Nova Scotia. Thanks, Paul N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  19. There are caches in Cape Breton Highlands & Keji (I think) but don't know if permission was sought before placing them. N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
  20. I'm not sure if this is the same thing but.... When I was using a C Band satellite dish for TV, twice a year (Spring & Fall) when the satellite that the dish was aimed at was directly in front of the sun we would loose the signal for a few minutes. I'n sorry I forget all the proper terminology but perhaps a GPDr has similiar problems. Paul N 44 54.474 W 63 46.979
