  1. That's good to hear, I liked the City Select sizes better, it was more useful when loading specific routes. I guess I can compromise and get City Navigator.
  2. I will probably purchase the upgrade, never know when or where I might need the newer information. I do wish however that I could get City Select V8 instead of City Navigator.
  3. THis would be a great 'placeholder' for all your coins also so they are not all listed on your accounts page.
  4. Create a Needs Maintenance log. Hopefully this will get the owner out to check on his/her cache.
  5. I am registerd for GW4 but since then I have changed my gc.com name. Is there someone that I should contact and let know? Thanks. (Previously known as TheWidget)
  6. So far 18 states, California, Neveda, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Georgia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana. I have confirmed plans to hit 15 more this year.
  7. hrtpmpfxr posted this website on the cache event page. http://www.sdcdpw.org/#ROAD The chains requirement on Hwy 78 and 79 in Julian might be a stumbling block for most of us. Does 4 wheel drive make up for chains?
  8. Thanks! Here is what that site says about the area around Borrego: The bummer part is, that normally when it rains over on here on the coast, it gets really windy in the desert. We'll make it a good time regardless of the weather! Woo Hoo, we sure will! But seriously, which areas should we avoid if it gets appreciably wet? Many of the caches require that you drive down long windy washes for miles. I'd hate to have deep mud puddles form behind me when I go to some of these areas for a few hours. I'm not in a Jeep! For example would going to the Basilisk be a bad idea in a non-Jeep? Y'all gonna die! Harmon aren't you gonna die with us? Too old to die. You can't be too old cause you just hiked up McGinty and the Fortunas! BTW do you notice this large blob of quotes starting to form here? I had noticed but don't quote me on that... It looks like the weather forecast has changed a little since last night. Saturday has gone from "likely Rain Showers Windy" to "Chance Rain Showers!" Woo Hoo! It looks like the worst part is now going to hit Friday night.... That's great news as I'm driving down from Los Angeles to give the 4x4 stuff a try. Can't wait.
  9. Oh darn, I just saw that I lost due to the coin toss.
  10. I would like to purchase 2 coins, but not for $10.00 apiece plus shipping.
  11. I specifically state on my TB's that I don't accept multiple people logging it at an event. I will only accept the person that brought it and the person that took it and placed it somewhere else.
  12. Is it too late to order these? If not I would like 3 also. Thanks, and I'll keep a lookout here.
  13. I did my own price research for this before I even read this thread, and I also got it from Prosourcegps for $408 and change. And yes their price went up right after I bought it. Guess I was one of the lucky ones.
  14. I'm sure it would be worth more if it was trackable on gc.com with it's own icon.
  15. Email the TB owner and have him 'pickup' from you and 'drop' it back into it's last known cache.
  16. Will you ship to the US? Do you have an estimate of coin cost and shipping? Thanks.
  17. I hope there's still some left. I preordered 4.
  18. One of my coins has already made it to Minnesota Tracking
  19. What are the responsabilities for the manager of a waymark category?
  20. Looks a bit more than subtle to me. I would personally stay away from that cache, and business. Geocaching is not for advertising.
  21. Whew, good thing I checked the forums today. Email sent for 50 nickels. Mark, I am volunteering to help you sort and mail these out. I live nearby and would not mind helping.
  22. Did you not attend the function? I don't understand why you can't mark it as attendance. You're taking this "find count" thing a bit too seriously. It's one of the reasons why there is no "found it" for events. Same thing briansnat said. I would have thought that 'hiders' would then not 'find' their own cache or event. That response makes me think I can 'Find' my own cache, we all know that most caches, especially non-urban caches, can migrate a bit from your original placement.
  23. But if you are the official Host 'owner' of the event cache you then shouldn't be claiming it as a find. So all the co-hosts will have an 'Attended' instead of 'Hidden'.
  24. Looks great, I may just increase my order.
