we have a Garmin Montana 600 with 50 000 OS UK maps. We intend using it as we get the hang of it for cycling (on road and trails) and hiking as well as Geocaching. At the moment we are struggling with setting it up. We have Basecamp software on the laptop.
if we try and put in start and end points on the laptop for a cycle ride it automatically locks to roads even when we are trying to put in way points for off road trails.
also if we put it in our pocket it puts in way pints and changes screens etc as it brushes against the fabric.
any advice on these points or generally would be appreciated.
