  1. Is there an easy way to sort a list of active caches in my area to find the ones that have the longest time since being found? Been thinking about getting out again and was thinking about starting with some lonely ones.
  2. I bag like 1 cache a month or less these days.. my work situation changed and I just dont have the time like I used too Frando and bmfoldguy are both Hillsborough residents as well. Frando is still fairly active. Dadalo and Büffel are also Hillsborough resisents and cachers.
  3. Well done! Your caches are awesome. Thanks for your contribution back to the game as well.
  4. My son and I did it in 3 hours (even with moving the car) The cache is set up nicely so that it can be done in 2 trips (no more hints) So if you need to, you can spend about around 1-2 hours the first visit and then finish up on anoher trip.
  5. awesome! Congrats to my fellow Hillborougher Geocacher!
  6. it's all ok. The only problem is that caches are difficult to "bring back' after they have been archived, so using the "request Archive" is like a last resort. After no response from multiple email attempts from owners , etc. NB44 has a rep as a very good cache hider and it isnt surprising to see a number of DNFs. Granted, you dont know him or his hides maybe as well as others. No worries. The cache is there and ready for hunting!
  7. congrats! Here's to the next 100! You'll likely have those by Halloween!
  8. Well done! onward to 500!

  11. Apparently JEEP has teamed up and hidden 4000 travel bugs across the country. Look for them starting June 1st. I wonder how they will be diseminated? read more here ---> Geocaching & Jeeps
  12. I for one entend my hand to welcome him back (yes i washed it first). The pastime is about enjoying a leisure activity with yourself and with friends who also have the same addicition ,errr passion. Wb Mark!
  13. Congrats! He truly is an evil genius on his hides!
  14. I have a little league game in teh afternoon, but I should be there in the morning. Will bring an ammo can as well if we thinking about building an event cache to memorialize the day
  15. Again, raising the bar as the ( I beleive ) the most prolific cache finder in the world! Congrats to and your family!
  16. Thanks all for the kind words. I must say this is a fun hobby and there are lots of great people out there participating in it. Got some more ideas for some tough caches that hopefully i can get rolled out during the summer.
  17. To answer Geoman007's question. I woudl layout the race at the Sourland Mountain Park in Hillsborough. 1600 acres of space here. The basics of the hunt would be as follows. There would be 7-10 elements with a clue to the final cache. At the designated starting time, each cacher (or team) would be handed a sheet with 15-20 potential element locations. Your job is to visit the lcoations until you have all the clues. The fun and challenge will be wether or not a location has an element hidden there. I've even got some sponsorship for some nice prizes and have even though about getting T-shirts if there is enough people who would come. The date can actually be any Saturday-Sunday combo. Perhaps my local Hillsborough Neighbor (Natureboy44) would like to team up with me on this one as he is a master of camoflauge.
