  1. That's a beauty.....supposed to be easing up on coin buying at the moment, but couldn't resist this.
  2. Thanks for adding our name too! Ali & Andy
  3. If there's any room left could we be added please, this sounds like fun! Geo-Gophers
  4. Stunning!!! Great!!!! You lucky one - such an adorable view!!! Beautiful start to your day there......the colours are stunning.
  5. Another great idea for a cointest, cheers MotoCycleBoi!! No moose in Scotland I'm sorry to say, but here's a pic of a red deer stag that I took in Glen Etive in the autumn of 2006.
  6. That one was the very first film that came to my mind lol..........that mad bunch all running around a park looking for the big 'W'.
  7. 1400 miles.....what a journey, it sounds absolutely amazing.....all those places you visited!!!
  8. Congrats to all the recently knighted ladies and gents!!!
  9. What a lovely package to get, jam-packed full of surprises too........unfortunately all I got in the post today was the phone and electricity bills .....two surprises of a very different kind!!!!
  10. Knew I should've got up lol....didn't get to sleep for ages last night and was going to get up to make myself a hot drink, but must have nodded off in the end. Never mind, as my lovely gran was always telling us "what's for you won't go by you".....congrats to all the winners of this smashing looking coin (another one that I'd never seen until today!!)....really nice of ScoutingWV for holding such a generous cointest too.
  11. Arrived safe and sound this morning.......and I'm chuffed to bits with it, the little owl is gorgeous and the colours are lovely. Can't believe how quickly it got here either, it only seems a couple of days since I ordered it from you! Many thanks once again ATMouse!
  12. I think the Highland Geofairy sends some of her coins down to the central belt. Oh my goodness how exciting is that news!! I never knew that she fluttered this far down the land......mind you if I ever found one of her lovely coins in a cache I'd probably pass out with shock...or any mystery coin for that matter!! I love finding any coins in caches though, it's great to see a coin that you've read about online "in the flesh" so to speak.....have to admit that I love their icons too, but I do move them on ASAP. That really is great to know about the Highland Geofairy though!!!!!
  13. If it's any help, that works perfectly for anything that we've been sent from the US in the past, (we're in the UK). I'm not sure of the guidelines for the rest of Europe though, sorry . I don't imagine that there would be too much of a difference though.
  14. Congrats to the Pengofamily......always love to read how these coins seem to arrive just when they're needed to cheer folks up.
  15. Even though we've been caching since 2006, I never knew anything about "Mystery Coins" until I started reading this thread recently. I wouldn't say that I feel "left out" as such.....not at all..... just resigned to the fact that it would be nothing short of a miracle to find one in local cache here in Central Scotland LOL!! It was exciting to read that a couple have been found down in southern England recently though (the dragon coins). I love reading the stories on here of how people find them or are given them. The time and effort that the mystery-givers put in to making sure that nobody knows or suspects who they are is amazing and it must take a lot of doing. It's really heartwarming to read about them too, because a lot of the times from what I can gather, these seem to go to folks that really deserve them for one reason or another.
  16. So many beautiful coins out there that I dream of owning.... but two that are at the very top of my wish list would be the little witch flying past the crescent moon....."Walpurgis Event 2008" (I collect witches in general.....but don't have any witch geocoins) and after seeing it today for the very first time..... the "Solvognen Sun Chariot"........well I can but dream! Oh and I can't forget the beautiful Earth Turtles, but am chuffed to bits at winning a 2008 purple turtle on Ebay and can't wait to see it "in person". That'll be our first one. Love all the different types of fairy coins out there too......fairies are another thing that I collect and there isn't a room in this house that hasn't got one in it (again, none in coin form though)......never been lucky enough with them on Ebay as they go way beyond my budget usually.
  17. That is called a Solvognen Sun Chariot Thanks for getting back to me, very much appreciated. Just Googled it and found a couple of close-up pics of this coin, it looks absolutely gorgeous....have never seen this one until today. Really interesting to learn about the Bronze Age artifact that inspired it too. It's amazing what you learn on this geocoin thread!!
  18. I managed to get one of this years turtles with the purple colours on Ebay.......it'll be our very first Earth Turtle and I can't wait for it to arrive. Ebay isn't our preferred way of coin-buying either. However if it's something that you really want but missed out on when it originally went on sale.........at least you still have a chance I suppose. Would love to have went for more of these that were up there.....will do if we win the lottery LOL!!
  19. These look lovely. So much so for blowing the geocoin budget - couldn't resist though, it's such a lovely looking design....I especially like the fish in the water. I think it's a really nice touch having the little holes at the top too, so you can hang them up to let the sunlight through. Just wish that I could have went for the whole set, but have to try to be frugal.........lol Really fair overseas postage charges too.
  20. Great detailed pictures of this beautiful coin. What a wonderful idea to have "Thanks" in all the different languages on the back.....congrats to all the latest recipients too.
  21. I love it too.... saw them for sale but daren't buy any at the moment because I've sort of blown the geocoin budget for now. It's so cute though.....the funny thing is that I bought a little sheep ornament (with a daisy in it's mouth) a couple of weeks ago, that's so like this coin!! A very difficult one to resist!!
  22. Unless they happen to be fishermen muggles.......they just seem to love being out in the rain lol!
  23. These are wonderful to see.......love the eye contact in the first pic!!
  24. Beautiful collection of coins.......can someone tell me what that coin is in the top right-hand corner of the second pic from the bottom (or the third pic down lol!) please....the one that looks like a little silver chariot?
