Hello, I use the Fugawi Software with my Garmin GPS12. I have the 4 CD set of digital maps of Europe. These maps come along with elevation data (DEM / DTED) level 0 which means 30" grid spacing (about 900m). This is fine for driving in a car but far too inaccurate for mountain biking. => My question: Is for Europe elevation data available with a level 1 or higher = with grid spacing less than 30"? Numerous answers to the Question "Wer ist denn hier und von wo?" in 'Geocaching Home » Groundspeak Forums » German Speakin' raise following idea: There are interactive maps with the caches. Why not maps with / of the geocachers? Would make it easy to find someone close by to meet, either to seek together or just to talk. Of course only with explicit allowance .... Warum nicht auch Karten mit den / der Geocacher? Dann könnte man sehen, wer in der Nähe wohnt und mit wem man sich mal zusammen tun könnte, zum Suchen oder auch nur zum Quatschen. When I set Fugawi 3.0 via menu: Settings -> preferences to: Lat/Long Format ddd° mm.mmmm' Display Datum WGS 1984 Location Format Lat / Long I cannot modify User UTM Datum but shown is WGS84. If I thereafter enter new waypoints or use Plot Point, UTM is set to NAD27. I want both - Lat/Long and UTM - based on WGS84. Does anyone out there know a trick to establish this?
