  1. Greetings. After many months of design and collecting materials, I am proud to say that the Broken Arrow is now complete. My plan to change the world will begin this Saturday evening. I have dreamed about this day for such a long time, I can hardly believe that it's almost here. The only person that can ruin my plan is Voss Piety. Be on the lookout for him, and remember that he can not be trusted. I am the one with the better plan. I am the one to be trusted. One way or another, the world will change after the Broken Arrow event. How it changes, will be up to you. I am in the final stages of preparing puzzles for you to solve. Prepare yourselves for a Geocaching event like no other. This day will be remembered. See you Saturday. Dr. Isotope [This message was edited by Dr. Isotope on May 30, 2003 at 10:02 AM.]
  2. The gadget is in the final stage of assembly. The campground has been reserved. The plan is known. Now all I need to do, is invite you all to my little party: Broken Arrow Come join me, and celebrate the beginning of my plan. And yes, Voss... Even you are invited. In fact, you can bring those schematics you stole. I'm sure the good Geocachers could use those if they wish to stop me. You might be wondering why I'm giving you a chance to stop my plan... I'll reveal that bit of information on the day of the event. Who can you trust? -Dr. Isotope
  3. I'm pretty open to blowing the place up anytime after 4pm. The timer is working, so I can adjust. Trust ME, not Voss! -Dr. I -I am fractal's throbbing brain tumor.
  4. Laugh all you want, boys. But when the time comes, I'll be the one laughing as you try to solve my puzzles. On that night, I know who I can trust. I have been in contact with several of you that share my vision. My team of undercover agents will be there next to you, helping you solve my puzzles... But are they really helping? Yes... They're helping me. Who can you trust? -Dr. I Hey Voss.. Elvis was King! Are you still into those freaky bands like Front242 or something?
  5. Recently, there was a break-in at the lab. As far as I can tell, there is nothing missing. I assure you that I keep an accurate inventory of all items. I wouldn't want anything to get into the wrong hands. But, this does prove that my security measures are not strong enough... With the feeling that Voss had been here, I had to make sure that the gadget had not been tampered with in any way. While I had the device powered up, I thought I would take a picture of a section of it, just in case any of you might be wondering what it looks like. A larger version of the picture is available on the website under the Media section. The time is getting closer... -Dr. I ---------- -I am fractal's throbbing brain tumor.
  6. quote:Originally posted by The Quantum Mechanic:Your webpage is not working. How can one be scared of an evil scientist if he cannot even keep a simple webpage up? Hey.. I can keep it up... Can you, or are you having trouble with your floppy? The site does tend to 'flip-out' every now and then, but that's because I have Dr. Brakish Okun moving some stuff around the lab. Apparently radioactivity isn't good for the servers...or Dr. Okun either! -Dr. I
  7. quote:Originally posted by kiwimonster:A riot! What a great idea! Let's all picket Dr. Isotope's house with "No Nuking" signs... Yeah. That's exactly what I need. In the back of my mind though, there's a fear (and a hope) that my device will show up on CNN...but not for a good reason! Speaking of the Broken Arrow, there is a new media file on my website. -The Doc! -I am Jack's throbbing brain tumor.
  8. My schedule is pretty flexible around that time. The event can work on either day. It's all going to end up the same way in the end anyway While it is true that I have some pieces to the Broken Arrow, and Voss has the others, I'm sure MY device will be complete well before that weekend. And for those who haven't seen the sites yet: The Broken Arrow site Oh.. And Voss has a site too, not that it is of any value. It has some good pictures of me though! Voss is NOT boss! -Dr. I -I am Jack's throbbing brain tumor.
  9. quote:Originally posted by oregone:By the way, does Dr. Isotope like kittens? Because that kinda means a lot to lauren and hence it means a lot regarding whose side i'm on. Of course I like kittens. Especially Atomic Kittens! And, with the power of radiation, I can make special kittens. Close call tonight. I expected the letters for Slinger91 and Soup to arrive a day later than the others, but it looks like the postal service is more efficient than I thought. This put me a little behind schedule, in turn, giving Sassquatch the first glimpse of me. But not to worry... My job was done. The box is in the right hands. The door is almost open. Solving this little puzzle in a short time impressed me. You Geocachers seem to work well together. This skill will come in useful at the big event...that is if you wish to stop me. My long term plan could make good use of people like you. After you read about my real plan, you might see things the way I do and wish to join up. It's true that Voss wishes to stop me, but do you really know why? Not yet...but you will. Who can you trust? -Dr. I
  10. One more to the north. One more right here in Portland. One more to the south. Now that I think about it, that was a haiku! The keys will lead you to the correct door. Upon opening the door, my true mission will be learned. Voss has told you about his past. Now, you will learn about my past, and the history between Voss and I. It is then that you must ask youself, "who can you trust?" Also, for those that can put two and two together, you will discover when the Broken Arrow will take place. Who can you trust? -Dr. I
  11. To be a true Wednesday night gathering, don't you need the Golden Spike? It will be returning soon... Dr. I -I am Jack's throbbing brain tumor.
  12. Silly Geocachers! Running around like chickens with their heads cut-off. Could Voss be throwing you off? No. Not at all. It was quite entertaining to watch Grandpa Rocks peruse the literature, only to ignore the item he was so desperately searching for. Look closer, my friend. I found it, inspected it, and put it back in it's place. The item does prove that Voss is who he says he is. He and I are not the same person. But that doesn't mean he's not evil. Do you really think you can trust a former KGB spy? I thought I could once... And I almost paid the ultimate price. Who can you trust? Dr. I -I am Jack's throbbing brain tumor.
  13. It may seem like your geo-friends are ignoring you now, but let me assure you that in the near future, you will play a key roll in one of my plans, and they will not be able to continue without you. Keep looking. I know where you live. Dr. I -I am Jack's throbbing brain tumor.
  14. Ah yes. The young David Atomic Martin. Continue studying the ways of the atom. Maybe one day you can be a student of Dr. Isotope! Dr. I -Who can you trust?-
  15. Please, forgive my absence. The good doctor has been busy writing a prescription... A prescription for doom! Spring is getting closer. The event is almost near. Sometime in the next several weeks, clues will be given... New puzzles will need to be solved... Questions will be answered... Plans revealed. Voss is on to me, so I need to get movin'. If you want to survive and help set the world on the right course, make an appointment to visit the doctor! -Dr. I -Who can you trust?-
  16. The great thing about this country (which is the ONLY reason I haven't destroyed it yet), is the fact that people have the freedom of speech. It's nice to see you all excercising that right in this forum. Debating issues can be constructive. When people turn it into a personal attack, that's when it becomes destructive. We're all here to constructively discuss our issues with the game. Let's do that, play the game, and appreciate/understand our differences. As for the original issue, I personally think Oregone should have edited out the name. But he didn't, and he has that right. It was an email sent to him. It was his property. Case closed. Dr. I -Who can you trust?-
  17. Ah yes. The famous spike. With some special equipment, I had no problem tracking down fractal's location due to his vast supply of radioactive marbles. The spike is now in my hands. Who knows? Maybe I'll put on my own little Wednesday Night gathering. Or something bigger. Dr. I -Who can you trust?-
  18. Another reason for my delay: While performing some tests, it seems as though I have exhausted some of my resources. Because of this, I had to call in a favor from some of my friends in North Korea. Back to the lab. Dr. I -Who can you trust?-
  19. It's nice to hear that everyone misses me. And, although you think you might see me, I can assure you that it was just a shadow. When you turn to look at me, I disappear. When you think you know who I am, I change. When you think you have it all figured out, the rules change. When you think you are safe, you're not. Stay tuned, little geocachers. I will have some classified information for you in the very near future. It involves my favorite color: ultra-violet. Dr. I -Who can you trust?-
  20. Thank you Grandpa Rocks & Grouchy Gramma. You have saved me the time and effort of retrieving and decoding The Orb. I'm sure I can put that information to good use in the near future. I will consider this my holiday gift from you. Nice try, Voss. Dr. I -Who can you trust?-
  21. I hope you were all thankful for everything you have this holiday weekend. You won't have it for much longer. Since it is now the holiday season, I thought I would share another gift with you. It is some Trinitite: the green glass that was created from the first atomic blast. Yes, it is still radioactive, and yes, it is authentic. To obtain this gift you must put together and solve the following puzzle: After this, it's no more Mr. nice doctor, so beware. Dr. I -Who can you trust?-
  22. Very good, QM. Can you, or others, now do a little research and tell us more about this green glass? When I post my puzzle, the prize will be two pieces of this green glass. Enjoy it while you can. Dr. I -Who can you trust?-
  23. You may be closer than you think, QM. Your previous post mentions how something is green. Green is one of the solved words in the anagram puzzle above. Dr. I -Who can you trust?-
  24. Shortly after the upcoming holiday, I will present you with a puzzle. Solving this puzzle will lead you to another gift. Since The Quantum Mechanic thought my last gift was a bit strange, I have decided that I will give you something a bit more, let us say, "meaningful." It is a small piece of not only our nation's history, but of human history. Here is your clue: GOT A STRINGY FRESNEL RIM? If you figure it out, post your results here. Also, if you would like to play a small part in my world domination plan, then I encourage you to buy nothing on November 29th. Also encourage everyone you know to buy nothing. If we can do this, then we can start to take the system down. Once it's down, it's our's for the taking. Only after disaster can we be resurrected. Another suggestion for some holiday fun is to go around town and put "Out of Order" signs on every ATM machine you can find. There's nothing more enjoyable than seeing that last bit of stress push the holiday consumer over the edge. Dr. I ***DISCLAIMER*** All threats and suggestions made by Dr. Isotope, and other characters in these forums, are totally ficticious and pose no danger to anyone whatsoever. It is all part of a Geocaching event that will take place in the Spring of 2003. -Who can you trust?-
