Thank you for your quick response. I appreciate it. I think this need to be very clear for people upgrading via the intro app as the price for the 2 are exactly the same, hence the confusion. As an app only user (and I am sure there are lots of new geocaching app only members), when you see a 3 month premium geocaching option you assume that you will get the app upgrade as well - as that is what happens in 99% of cases. If I had purchased a membership via the website, I wouldn't have expected the app upgrade. Personally I didn't need the ability to have a premium membership but wanted the ability to search for caches, access to hints, etc as the full app does. Therefore I feel like I have wasted my money as I didn't get what I expected. I am not a regular geocacher, it's something fun that I do with my kids on holidays and this experience has really put me off. I am also new to geocaching. I used the intro app and then decided to upgrade. The app is very misleading and when you select the upgrade option it directs you to buy a premium membership. I, of course assumed it meant upgrading the app, especially as the price is the same. I can tell you I was pretty pissed off when I worked out what was happening, only by reading these posts. I only realised something was wrong when the app was still only showing the closest three caches. I feel like I have been deliberately mislead into purchasing something I didn't require. I realise it's not a lot of money in the long run for a great time but I really feel ripped off. It's left a bad taste in my mouth and it needs to be rectified.
