I don't use my PDA for caching but I use it for everything else, Don't know how I lived without it.

I'll just stick w/ MY Honda I could get a handlebar mount for my Platinum if I wanted.

My view has always been get more and not need it compared to buy some and need more later. Paul PS I love my Platinum : )

I'm thankful that I found a cache this morning before I went to moms house to chow down. Oh, and after moms I went to the inlaws and chowed down again. I'll have to do a multi this weekend to walk off all this turkey. Paul

1.UPS Ground packages are “day of delivery” guaranteed 2.UPS Ground packages are VERY trackable (see image if it posts correctly) 3.Ground is Ground this is why there are NO ground shipments to Hawaii via UPS 4.The reason some ground shipments take longer than normal time depends on location. I would say most towns have a post office, not all towns have a nearby UPS hub. 5.UPS will supply free packaging. 6.USPS priority mail is NOT guaranteed (but average time is 2-3 days) 7.Yes the holidays are coming so UPS packages will be slower, but so won’t packages from USPS. 8.USPS packages are trackable but NOT with the detail like UPS. USPS tracking will tell you when it was sent and when it was delivered (who cares at that point you already know you got it, I like knowing where it is during shipment) 9.It may depend on the size of your company but the USPS would NOT pickup or dropoff from my company, we would have to make runs to them (time/money) 10. USPS will supply free packaging. 11. my experience shows me that if you ship a large amount of packages it is so much easier with UPS because of their service, equipment and tracking ability. 12. No I do not work for UPS, in fact my father, uncle, aunt and 1 cousin all work for the USPS. 13. If you don't like the shipping costs don't buy it, or buy more items at once. You will save money buy buying a bunch of stuff and having it shipped w/ UPS compared to buying the same stuff over time and sending it through the USPS 13.Quit your *****IN and go find another cache. But I think it applies here too. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but.... a "SanDisk" card is not an SD card it is actually a CF or "Compact Flash" card. My digital camera uses "SanDisk" and it will NOT fit into my Platinum. I just want to make sure nobody is off buying the wrong disks. Again, correct me if i'm wrong, Paul

I assume you are using a windows based OS. If you look on the task bar just to the left of the time you will see a few small icons. One of them is most likely your hotsync software (may look like two small arrows in a circle), right click on the icon and choose close. Then when you are ready to use your Hotsync software again just open it as normal and it will start right up. Hope this helps, Paul

I couldn't get mine to connect until I disabled my PDA's Hotsync software. Worked like a charm after that. Paul

OK, it's almost ready to go. I just need to pick up a log book and a few more "goodies" and it will be all set. Now if only this big storm will miss us so I'll have a chance to get out and actually hide it. Question, I want to make this a theme cache, do cachers tend to stick w/ the theme or do they just put in any old item that may not relate to the cache? maybe someone that has placed a theme cache will have some insight. I live in Mass, is it too late in the season to hide my 1st cache, should I just wait until spring or go for it now??? I will be ready to place it this Saturday (11/16) Any thoughts? Paul

I'm with embra on this one. I also got my Platinum at ShopHarmony a couple of weeks ago for $239.00 and I love it!! Plus all that expandable memory, I would rather have too much than not enough. Just my 2 cents, Paul
