  1. Thank you for your advice. I conclude that we will not Geocache in two countries at the same time. Christine will geocache in the UK whilst I remain dormant! Chris
  2. We are a married couple and have done all our Geocaches together. In three weeks my wife Christine goes to the UK for two weeks. Can she geocache in the UK, whilst I continue to geocache in France, or would that count as cheating? Thanks Chris & Christine
  3. Thank you so much for your replies! Problem solved !
  4. Hi, I want to post my Geocaching public profile to my local Geocaching community. How to I find the URL for my public profile? My Geocaching name is: Chris & Christine The '&' seems to cause problems, because the URL: http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=chris & christine goes to a different profile. What URL would take me to the public profile of Chris & Christine ? Thanks, Chris
  5. Making progress. Thanks guys! Embarrassing I did not think the images were being downloaded from links within the GPX. Will investigate further in the directions you all suggest.... ...Have investigated further. Working, job done! Thank you so much for your help.
  6. Thanks for your reply. My eXtex 30 has a photo viewer, so it can display images. The pocket query generated GPX file on my eTrex is 7.7 Mb. When I open the file on my PC using the software EasyGPS and select a geocache, the images are displayed. Presumably that means the images are contained in the GPX file. This link about GPX standards confirms image can be contained in a GPX file: http://www.opencaching.us/okapi/services/caches/formatters/gpx.html So the question remains "How do I get my eTrex 30 to display the images contained in a Geocache description?"
  7. Hi, Just bought an eTrex 30 GPS. All seems good, but when I view a geocache description on the device, it is text only – no images. The multi-geocache GPX file was created by a pocket query. When I view the file on a PC the images are in the file. How do I get the Garmin eTrex 30 to display the geocache description, including images. (for example hint images) Thanks, Chris
  8. Whilst out geocaching last weekend, we found this abandoned village. Yes, we did find the cache nearby: GC2EE75
  9. I do think there is a missed opportunity here! There should be a published and official, easily recognisable sign, that a geocacher can do to show they are a geocacher. Then geocachers can easily identify if the people over there are muggles, or possible new geocaching friends.
