Thanks everybody for the comments...as a new geocacher...who is not in a race with anybody , I still see the advantage of collecting information and if you can do it, someone will want to measure it and keep track of it.,..thats what makes the world go round and what makes it interesting...At 70 I just bought my first tablet and have decided that I no longer need a laptop or keyboard ...still learning how to do things faster and better and still have time to smell the flowers.
Just spent the last 4 weeks indoctrinating my fellow sailboat partner into what its like to go geocaching from a boat....lovely!
In the process I walked 4 miles down a sandy beach to the end of a spit in Baja California, Mexico to discover that a cache placed there a year before was still not discovered...it was in great shape and the view was spectacular ..thanks for the cache....
