I think we should be smart enough to figure out the code and all send in for the certificate and put them in caches....I noticed that the DVD on the lego site was different then the actual one the Mars lander... the one on the lander goes like this 101001110001111110011000101100011110111000101001001100001000110011001100001 the 1's are lines and the 0's are dots....I tried a binary converter and it didn't make scence...If any one is serious about this email me and we could brainstorm...We can't let LEGO stump us can we?

  12. A GeoCacher's Tale Twas the night before Christmas and all through the land; Thousands of cachers were falling asleep with a GPS in their hand. With my hand on my compass and my eyes on the map, I slept on the couch in a dreamy nap On the screen were new logs waiting to be read While visions of FTF danced in my head I had just found out that my Mrs hid my receiver I had to promise to stop, I'm going to hate to deceive her

  15. I found this tonight geocaching on tv and chuckled when buddy said..Oh there are 100's of caches in California...It was hidden on 1/29/2001... at the time he said there were 3 caches in Edmonton Alberta...now there are 109 in a hundred mile radius of that cache
  16. I was truly surprised this afternooon...I went to pick up my Legend and when I opened the box there was a letter that said that Garmin had replaced my old GPSr with a brand new one! it was beyond the warrenty as I stated earlier...all it cost me was $14.50CAD ( about a buck 50 USD ) Thanx again Garmin Coast2Coast2coast
  17. I Sent this to Garmin on Friday... I love my 15 month old Legend but it has screen gremlins and some times the click-stick does not work. Many have noted that it is an internal connection problem. I am just wondering if there is a chance of Garmin fixing out of warranty units for no charge. Seems the $125 fee is a little pricey when the units responds to a whack on the palm. Also I think this should be considered a product recall since so many units are affected. Would appreciate any feedback you can offer. I live in Canada and there are no repair facilities here that I know of... This morning I got an Answer....Check this out Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I'd be happy to help you with that. I have set up a return authorization for you to send that unit in for repair. I have set it up under warranty. Here is the address that you will send the unit in to: Garmin International The unit will take approximately two weeks to be repaired. Best Regards, Thank You Garmin
  18. Thanx L...I'll look into it....The above link does not work Tom
  19. I saw a post a while ago regarding screen probs. on the etrex series...The screen would show a whole bunch of lines and if you tapped the side of the unit it would fix itself...Some kind geocaher posted how to fix it ( with pics and all)...At the time I did'nt need it BUT, my GPSr is now doing it and it would cost me over $125.00USD to have Garmen fix it...There is are no repair place in Canada...If you know what I'm talking about, could you please repost it Thanx Coast2coast2coast
