I started this thread because I'm getting a PDA I just wanted to know what I could do with it (Geocachingwise) once I get it...I have been caching with paper for close to a year. I take the paper with me because, like sissy and CR I have to drive a distance to most caches around here. The closest cache that I can get to is 17 miles up a mountain. I don't want to drive all the way there and not find it because I don't have the printout. Because of the price of gas and the distance I have to go to get the caches, most of mine are "opportunistic" caches i.e. if I have to go into the city for a doctors appointment or some sporting event I'll try and nail some caches in the area. If I have access to lots of caches in the area at the tip of my fingers I think it would make caching easier for me…I would like to thank all the people that have put their 2cents in (for and against) keep em coming. Thanx PDOP and all the others that put in the time to answer...would a Palm M130 be ok with a 32 mb expansion card be good enough?

I'm looking at getting a PDA for some work stuff...How and Why would I use it Geocaching?...What programs would I need on it for it to work for caching?

Just curious...Is there any way to have the cache page discription on some sort of audio file so that the cache details can be discribed in person??? it might be more personal.... I would like to try it but have no idea how.

Thanks for the hints. Zoe is going back to the vet this morning because the batting is falling through the opening in the toe of her cast. We will be sure and asked for the IV bags that is a great idea. Oh by the way Zoe thinks Parker is a handsome dude and hopes one day they'll meet on the caching trails.

Zoe Dog , My Caching partner broke a toe in a Freak accident in our back yard ...It wont be the same cacheing with out her. She always come out with me. any ideas how to keep her cast dry?
