  1. Great idea! We'll send along one of our new personalized CREW from Waterloo geocoins. Thanks Helen for providing a Canadian mailing address. Irene & Tim
  2. Here's one in Northern Ontario that we really loved doing: GC1HKP0 - Jackfish Ghost Town Take a look at the pics us and others have posted, it was pretty cool to explore.
  3. We've randomly met many geocachers especially in local FTF hunts but our best accidental meeting happened just last fall while we were looking for a cache at a local city park in Athens, Greece during our Mediterranean cruise. As we approached the cache site we thought we were going to be thwarted by 2 muggles lurking nearby but it turned out that they were geocachers from Germany and had been searching for 20 minutes with no luck. They were very happy when I spotted the cache shortly after arriving.
  4. - discarded woman's underwear with a menstrual pad still attached...ugg...we grabbed a long stick to retrieve it and deposited it and the stick in a nearby garbage can.
  5. Thanks, we had a blast pushing ourselves to do the last few challenges and we're still married so it couldn't have been that bad.
  6. That would be a cool one to do! We don't think we could convince the kids to do a summer vacation up there. It may have to wait a few more years for us anyway. It looks like someone tried to find it already but had no luck.
  7. Well Mike you have us beat for sure, our furthest is only 744.1km, Hike to Sturdee Cove - Stage 5 - By The Creek. A lot of our FTF's are in the Marathon area and all hidden by jleecollins. He's got a bunch right now that we hope to grab on our bi-annual trip up to northern Ontario next summer. There's another FTF question, what's the greatest time between publishing and FTF? Ours is 3 years minus 8 days, A Little Bit of Marathon History published Aug. 2, 2004, FTF July 25th, 2007!
  8. Also, come to the next CREW event, GC19HPR (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=5507282e-e514-4511-a36a-84c4aa046725) being held on April 17th at McMullens on King, you'll meet lots of local geocachers there.
  9. Wow 3000th! Way to go Cathy! Hope to see you again at the next CREW event in April!
  10. Congratulations Mike! Wow 2000! I remember the days when we had more caches found than you.
  11. We'd like to add our congratulations as well! 3000 is quite an achievement. But can you remember how many are FTF's?
  12. Wow, our first place position sure didn't last very long!
  13. Woohoo, we made it to first place! I hope we can hold that position until Res returns!
