  1. Don't disagree but for info the CO has put a link on the cache page directing 'discussion' on it here, rather than the cache page. That's how I just found myself here...and I guess others will do the same. Perhaps the CO should link to an alternative discussion thread?
  2. Are you using the free or paid app? I only have the paid, and when you click on the Found It button, further options appear above the prominent Send Now and Save For Later buttons. Those options are: Write Message / Add Favourite Point / Attach a Photo / Trackable Drop/Visit That last one is what you're looking for
  3. Phone is still staying on 7.1.2 though!
  4. Thanks for posting that - and well spotted! I've updated iOS, uploaded a photo, and it worked fine. Pleased to confirm the problem is fixed
  5. Pleased I held off updating the iPhone as well - that's staying on iOS 7.1.2 until I'm certain the bugs with 8 have been squashed!
  6. Using the iPad to access the website not the app (not least as it's not optimised for the iPad but that's for another thread). Updated it to iOS 8 yesterday but now when I try to upload a picture to a cache log it hangs for a while then gives an error message saying Safari has lost connection to the internet (it hasn't). Everything else seems to work ok. Have tried the usual fixes but it's still broken. Any thoughts?
  7. How interesting. I hadn't realised the availability of souvenirs was so arbitrary! The North American bias doesn't surprise me, but whole European countries missing, yet Ireland has 4? Bizarre.
  8. As above, you'll need to either archive or re-write them as new caches. I had exactly this issue as I had an unpublished cache which I just wanted to delete...but couldn't seem to find a way. It sat in my profile for months and I was resigned to the fact it would probably be there irritating me forever, until a few days ago when the lightbulb flickered on and I thought ARCHIVE! Yep, did the trick and it's now gone BC
  9. Fortunately our full screen name is only initials...so problem solved!
  10. Hi guys. Ok, I've been given some great help over on the German forums: they've translated the TB page and one of them was even kind enough to exchange messages with the owner. While they're calling it a 'token' the attributes are similar to the Signature TB mentioned above. One key difference however is that this German one does not have any FM- or BM- prefix code; there is only the one shared TB tracking code. As with the Signature TB, I can discover it and keep it (if I like it), and show it so that others can discover or grab it from me, or I can discover and drop into another cache so that it moves on. The German owner has confirmed there are multiple 'tokens' in circulation, some being held by finders and others on the road. Maybe it's part of this Travel Bug experiment, I don't know. Still seems a bit odd to me but at least I now know what to do with this pesky green TB that's been on my dining table for a week!
  11. Hi 6foot3, Thank you so much for your help, most kind. I'm still a little confused that multiple tokens are allowed on the same tracking number but at least I now understand what my options are for moving this on. Cheers
  12. Hi 6foot3, Appreciate your response - many thanks. Here's the link to the TB page. TB page link Any help you can give would be very welcome!
  13. dadgum - so much for Google translate - lol! Thought I'd have a go though rather than assume to post in English... Anyway, my post was in relation to an unusual TB which we found in the UK. It wasn't logged in the cache and when we went to the TB page it is all in German but appears to be a 'personal swap token'. Virtually all the entries are in German where the TB was 'discovered' by various people in various places; only a couple are 'dropped off' entries. It also seems to have been discovered in Germany during the period it was in the UK cache, including the same day we found it. The TB has no mission but is also not collectible. Could there be multiple 'tokens' all with the same number on? As the history is so unlike any other TB we've found I wasn't sure whether to 'discover' it too and just place in another cache or drop off properly as per a normal TB. It was suggested that personal swap tokens are predominantly a German thing so thought I would ask you kind folk what to do. (NB I have also messaged the owner but likely my attempt at German has left them baffled too, lol!) Many thanks
  14. Thanks cerberus1, appreciate you trying to help I've posted in German. If I hear anything back I'll update this thread.
  15. Hallo Jungs. Vielen Dank.
  16. Nope - completely different TB. That picture is of a normal TB which had broken and I've now fixed. Totally unrelated. (I hadn't realised the tracking number was visible though so thanks for pointing that out - oops.) The one I'm querying is green & plastic. Perhaps these 'personal token' things are mainly a German thing. I'll see if someone on the German boards can help.
  17. How did you look it up? I've not logged it anywhere yet, and it wasn't logged in the cache we retrieved it from. Puzzled, lol.
  18. Lots of comments about the new map feature but I'd like to know when I'll be getting my personal cache stat visuals back again on IOS 7.0.4? Why hasn't this been fixed?
  19. Hi folks. Been lurking for a while just happy reading & learning from the forums ...but now my hand has been forced as I need some help...and you good people are best placed to provide it We found an unusual TB yesterday and we're not quite sure what to do with it. It wasn't logged in the cache but had a tracking number. Looked up the TB page and it's all in German. With the help of Google translate we think it's some kind of personal swap token - but what are they? We found it in the UK but on the same day it was also logged in Germany...but from the cache logs where we found it, it was dropped off in the UK cache a while ago. Can there be multiple TBs all with the same tracking number? Most of the entries on the TB page are where it was 'discovered' (and pretty much all are in Germany); only a few are 'dropped off'. The TB has no mission, but is also not collectible. So do we just leave it in another cache and say we discovered it on the TB page...or do we drop it off in a cache like a normal TB? What's a personal swap token used for? Apologies if covered elsewhere. I have checked but couldn't find anything! Thanks!
