Obviously there was a slight lack of testing before this release.

I just upgraded to the latest version of the iPhone application (1.1.1 from memory) which was supposed to fix a login bug for users with an ampersand in their username. What it has also done is broken the login for users with a question mark. Is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks.

The more satellites you can track at the same time increases the accuracy of your position fix. Yes 4 will give you a position fix with altitude but extra satellites will increase the accuracy of that position fix (reduce the margin of error).

The only issue I could see with it is that it will have the US basemap in it. This should be easily fixed by flashing it with the Australian one though???

the best option is to get a usb card reader. it is much quicker than the serial cable to the gps and will allow you to add a map without deleting the other(s).

since you will have a car at the national park you should be able to get to a few that i know of in that region.
