  1. Try EasyMPS. It uploads direct from either the GPX or LOC files to Mapsource. You can then upload to the 60c or 60cs with USB in a jiffy.
  2. Although not exactly what you are looking for, I purchased one of these for my 60cs and placed a spare PDA screen protector (cut to fit) on the glass screen. Tha case fits just fine when the GPS is placed in the case screen inward. I also purchased mine locally in an ACE hardware. http://www.niteize.com/mb_home.html
  3. Sorry to butt in. Just thought I'd leave this web addy for The Daniel Boone Gang. Good luck. http://www.txga.net/selector.asp This is for The Selector. Certainly not my work, bit a good idea.
  4. I've owned a Garmin Vista for well over a year now and I like it very much. Pros are most of the options available and the available memory. I'm able to upload planty of mapsets. With the vista, I've encountered very few cons. The only one I haven't figured out a fix for is intermittant lock up of the click stick. If I had to replace my GPS I'd probably purchase another Vista.
  5. OBTW, thanks for the great work here. I can use this! "Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience."
  6. Sure, just select Locationless (Reverse) Cache as the cache type in pocket queries, then GPX as the output. I had to Duh myself on this one awhile back. quote:Originally posted by Wood Smoke:Great resource :-) Does anyone know how to get all the locationless caches in a pocket query in gpx format? Or any other way to get them in gpx format? WoodSmoke http://www.geocacheuk.com - _very_ useful resources for the UK Geocaching community "Never argue with an idiot. The cache was recently placed too - I was the first finder. -Junglehair I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken. Why do I just not believe you were the first finder? Then again, maybe the owner planted it this way as a decoy for the real cache. Hmmmm quite devious. "Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience."
  8. The logbook is just slightly damp. There must be a leak in the baggie. "Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience."
  9. I'll throw my hat in the ring. I just wonder if anyone who thought walking sticks were for sissies entered the contest? Good luck to all and Happy Caching. "Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience."
  10. I was reading an outdoor sporting magazine, when I first read about geocaching. I had already, though, recently purchased an eTrex Vista. So I accessed the web site, found my first cache, and have been hooked since. Besides, as I've heard others say, this goes a long way toward satisfying my passion for gagetry. Is there any way to filter out tick bites and poison ivy? "Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience."
  11. Walmart sporting goods just recently stocked a collapsable for less than $10. Prior to purchasing one of these I read some geocaching links and made two others inexpensively. One from a mop handle someone else threw out and another from PSP. I like the Walmart collapsable and the price was right. $10 for one very much like others I've seen for between $30 and $40. 12. Test Post please "Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience."

  14. Being able to use EasyGPS and my laptop to download cache coordinates into my GPS is the only way to go. Maps make it all that much better.
  15. I've had a Vista since May 02 and have been Geocaching since I discovered the sport in Oct 02. Geocaching is a really great hobby. I'm really happy with the Vista. I use it with a radioshack suction cup window mount (inexpensive) while driving. The memory capacity is much better than the legend making use with map packages much easier. I currently own and use Mapsource Topo, Metroguide USA, and World. All are great, but Topo has been the best for geocaching. My money has been well spent with the Vista.
  16. I've got a slightly used ETrex auto cigarette lighter recepticle available if you are interested.
