I think the steer arrow was lost on the Iway 100M when auto-routing was added. I cant get one to come up on mine either. I turn to line up the little dotted line to the way point kind of like how the steer arrow works.

If Magellan is sharp they will market these to the Adventure touring/Dual-sport motorcycle crowd. The 2500T seems perfect for this use, assuming the unit can take motorcycle vibes. I'll be keeping my eye open for the release of this unit.

Thanks Jim, I have tried that one in the past. I am assuming that I am just not sharp enough at this stuff as I got nowhere in trying to edit/combine tracks on it. I did manage to mangle a few pretty good though.

Hey All, Is there a graphics based program that you can edit, combine, and/or crop track/trail files made by a Lowrance GPS? Mapecreate does not seem to do this, or am I missing something? I am looking for a drag & drop, click and edit kind of thing. Thanks Ogre

I think I figured it out. Correct me if I am wrong. You use the "directions" function picking "to" & "from" points or places. Then you save the "route" that it creates in KML format (the default is KMZ, but that wont convert) Then you convert that as a trail file into Lowrance USR format (I did this on GPSbable) Down load the new USR file and you basically have a turn by turn road route. Pretty slick. I just wish that Googleearth directions did multi stop & preferred road routing like streets & trips. I have yet to figure out how to convert Streets & trip routes to track/trail format.

Can you explain how you make a route in google earth. Are these multi-point routes and does this follow the roads?

Any of you Lowrance users have troubles with real long trail files not converting with GPSBable? I did a motorcycle trip a while back saving trail files of between 1500-3000 points and could not get the USR files to convert them to google earth format. Shorter/smaller trail files have all worked fine. Any ideas?

I have had an Iway 100M for about a year now. Only when I first started the unit up new did I have lock problems. I found I had to keep the unit out in the clear for about 5-10 mins without moving. It was like it needed to figure out what satellites it should be receiving. Ever since that first day it has been fine and gets a good lock quickly. Now that yours has got a good lock try it again without the external antenna and see if its better. I have had the unit lock up 2 times doing a route calc. It was a very long route. It worked the 3rd time and never any troubles after that.

I have the H20 emulator on my work PC and was surprised to find that it brings up the speedo page on the DEMO emulator. Now I need to try it on my Iway 100M when I get home.
