  1. Shipping is part of the price! What you see is what you pay. As to payment, I take paypal (to dbatton@gmail.com), or Postal money order. I can take a check, but prefer not to, if at all possible, as I have to wait until it clears to ship. Bring on the questions! Darrell

  4. CacheApalooza is over.....The holidays are over......The wife REALLY wants me to clear out my PDA inventory....and there seems to be a bit more interest lately....so.. Here is my list of PDAs for sale and what each includes as well as price, ConUS shipping included (AK,HI or Canada add $4). And yes, I will combine shipping if you buy multiples. I accept PayPal, money orders or personal checks. I ship once the payment has cleared (PayPal immediately, MO upon receipt, checks 3-14 days). Color PDAs: M130, USB hotsync/charger cable, stylus, leather case $50 Zire 31, USB hotsync/charger cable, stylus $55 B/W PDAs: 2- Handspring Visor Deluxe, serial OR USB cradle, stylus, plastic face cover, leather case, GameFace joystick adapter, Targus Stowaway Keyboard $36 each Palm M100 in original box, will all original documents/ CDs, serial cradle, and stylus $25 4-Palm M100 w/ stylus, flip cover and serial cable $22 each Palm III w/ cradle and stylus $23 PLEASE ask questions if you have them! I answer PDA and paperless caching questions for free- before and after a sale, and even if you never become a customer (it saves trees!), so don't hesitate to ask a question. As always, I have a 30 day guarantee against functionality issues on all items listed. A link to my eBay rating is in my profile. I can offer references from previous buyers from this board if needed. Stay tuned for lots more!
  5. The Jornada runs a Windows-based operating system, so things a re a little different, but I also have a few of those I've set up for paperless caching. As to wireless internet setup, thats a whole new ball of wax, but drop me a line and I'll see what I can do on both counts. Darrell of "TheBattons"
  6. Wrong...show me a $16 PDA shipped with a 30 day guarantee, email support on setting them up and getting CacheMate to run, as well as answering as many questions as you have before the sale? Let's compare apples to apples here....$16 for those particular models, maybe without a guarantee, without email support, and without a CLUE what CacheMate or Geocaching is.....That's NOT what I'm offering. Sure, I get a lot of my stuff from eBay. I take that $16 PDA, tear it down, rebuild it, stress test it, stress test the battery if it's rechargeable, and make sure all the parts and pieces are there and working so that the new owner can get right to Caching. Then I guarantee it. Is 20 years of electronics repair and my time not worth $5-10? By all means, goto eBay..and good luck.....
  7. Here are a few of the PDAs I have that are for sale* and what each includes as well as price, ConUS shipping included (AK,HI or Canada add $4). And yes, I will combine shipping if you buy multiples. I accept PayPal, money orders or personal checks. I ship once the payment has cleared (PayPal immediately, MO upon receipt, checks 3-14 days). Palm M100 in original box, will all original documents/ CDs, serial cradle, and stylus $25 4-Palm M100 w/ stylus and serial cable $22 each Palm III w/ serial cradle, flip cover, stylus $23 Palm IIIe w/ serial cradle, stylus $24 I have others I'll be listing soon, just showing what beats that $29 quote...and yes, these are all for sale...and I'll answer PDA/paperless caching questions before and after the sale- anyone's questions (it saves trees!) Darrell of "TheBattons" *Yes, these are all 2mb PDAs, but 2mb is enough space for CacheMate and well over 1000 cache entries at one time (I've tested it, the amount of cache data you select affects the total space required, but my best results with "5 logs entries, all options selected" in CacheMate- and I still was able to import 1400 caches into 2mb of RAM)
  8. M130, USB hotsync/charger cable, stylus, leather case $50 Zire 31, USB hotsync/charger cable, stylus $55 Those are shipped prices. Both have a 30 day guarantee through me. I take PayPal, Postal Money order, or personal check. I ship within 24 hours of the payment clearing (PayPal immediately, MO upon receipt, checks 3-14 days).
  9. Check this posting: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=152568 Its as good a place as any to start...
  10. CacheMate is shareware, allowing you to load up to 10 caches into its system. If you require more than that, its $8 Us to register. You can find out more about it at http://www.smittyware.com/palm/cachemate/ Another good link to learn about paperless caching is here There are several different ways to go with paperless caching...I suggest you read up on it before you buy anything. A pocket PC (running a Windows-based operating system) is an alternative to a PalmOS PDA, and you may opt to go that way. There are some good deals to be found here on the forums for both types of PDAs, so read as much as you can before jumping into a purchase... Hope that helps....
  11. It accepts CacheMate nicely, and will hold more cache entries than I could load (well over 2500 was my last attempt).
  12. I have a Greyscale Visor Deluxe w/ hard cover, stylus, USB serial cradle $25 shipped to ConUS, $30 to AK,HI or Canada
  13. If you go to the east coast, try getting to Jonathan Dickinson State Park...over 65 good caches in one park, plus the Infamous Red Scorpion Map of the park with Caches Cheers!
  14. All 3 Back up for grabs. Lowering the "take em all" price to $50. Cheers!
  15. 11 sold, 13 left....I am offering a discount on orders of 6+ This is my last bump...any that are left will become swag, so come to Florida to snag one from a cache! (A weak, but valid reason to come to Florida in the winter!)
  16. Someone does not know how to add... Team Dubbin, didn't you just post complaining about keeping your threads clean? Had you been a part of this one from the get-go, or read closely, you'd know the price was adjusted. Step down off the soapbox, or practice what you preach. Bump for a good deal, just hoping my buddy gets it (I sent him the link)(, it's just what he's been looking for.
  17. E-mail me @ : f4weasel@verizon.net for price Not to point fingers, but a week old account with zero cache finds, trying to sell an item and won't publicly list a price? Color me paranoid!
  18. You might want to look into a PFranc cable. I believe that for $15, you get 2 cables shipped to your door, a pretty good deal, IMHO. Or, build your own! I did it for my old iFinder Go, worked like a charm! (mine was an old serial mouse cable and a piece of a credit card) Hope it helps...
  19. Dec 9&10 was CacheApalooza and I've spent the last 4 months buying and refurbishing PDAs so that anyone wanting one at the event would be able to try one free of charge. (There were 64 caches hidden and released in the 11,400 acre state park that coincided with the event.) Now that it is over, it's time to clean house (mostly to keep the wife happy). With that being said, I have THREE completely reconditioned Palm M100s, each comes with a low profile sync cable, and stylus. These PDAs were refurbished and stress tested. PDA cases show some wear from use, 2 have clear screens, the 3rd has one minor scratch, but it is hard to see and does not affect use. All come with a non DOA guarantee. Each will have fresh batteries installed. All will be loaded with unregistered CacheMate and 500 caches from the zipcode of your choice before being shipped. Out of the box, they'll be ready to go caching. Registration of CacheMate will be required to add any more caches. It's $8, and money well spent. The Palm M100 is a 2 meg PDA. @ megs is enough for well over 1000 caches in CacheMate, and like I've always said, who can find THAT many caches in a weekend? Specs and sync software can be found here Price on each is $22, $40 for 2, or $55 for all 3 shipped to anyone in the lower 48, anywhere else, contact me first. I am also open to trades (pocket knives, multi-tools, SD cards, fishing lures, etc). Payment via PayPal, money order or personal check. Item ships within 24 hours of the payment clearing MY bank. My eBay profile (and feedback) is available through my profile, and I've sold several items through here. TheBattons
  20. All are gone...but I have a LOT more (40+) to sell in the next couple weeks.. (CacheApalooza was a hit, as were the loaner PDAs for the 60+caches that were hidden for the event.)
  21. Very faint lines, and you can only see them if you hold the PDA at an acute angle and look closely in the proper light. When using it, you do not see them. Most people would never notice them, but I like to let prospective buyers be aware. Blue has been spoken for via PM, the silver is still available. Thanks for the interest!
  22. I have 2 dozen 6 foot USB cables, new, still in packages for sale, $3.50 each shipped. Payment via PayPal, a postal money order, or a personal check. These work great with my Garmin 60CS, my Sony MiniDV camcorder, and 2 digital cameras. Industry standards are a good thing! Payment via PayPal, money order or personal check. Item ships within 24 hours of the payment clearing MY bank.
