  1. I'm planning on doing all of the virtual caches surounding the National Mall in DC this weekend. There are over 30 of them. I'm going to start at the Foggy Bottom Metro travel east around the north end of the Mall to the Capitol, and then west around the south side of the Mall. I'm going to cut south toward the Jefferson Memorial and circle the Tidal basin and then fininsh off all the caches around the Lincoln Memorial. How long do you think it will take me?
  2. I see you guys all got together recently. Any plans on doing it again?

  4. quote:I had a couple of (female) friends warn me that geocaching is too dangerous. That they would be afraid of getting raped and murdered out in the woods. I tried to explain to them that I'm much more likely to be attacked in a store parking lot, than out in the woods. That a rapist/murderer would get "awfully" tired of hiding in the woods (in the weather) for several weeks waiting for someone to come along to be raped & murdered. But they weren't convinced. But on the other hand, if you hear banjos - RUN!

    Ireland

I travel to the SE Ireland about once every three years. I'm due for a trip next summer. We've got family there, and I'm hopeing to set up a few caches in the area. It'd be nice to have a few to find too.
  7. I'm new to Geocaching, and several people I've talked to said that they would be scared to open a cache for fear that it would be booby trapped. Have something like this ever happened?
