  1. Well yes, but the main problem is that the vista would tell me where I was quickly with three satellites, whilst the 60csx refuses to do anything at all without 4.... what does anyone else's 60csx do?
  2. I upgraded over the summer from a Vista to a 60csx and have been generally delighted with the unit. The one thing that has bothered me though is that the vista only needed three satellites to get a lock, and would tell me where I was straight away when it found the third. The CSX is different and needs four satellites for a minute or so before it will tell me where it is, and sometimes I can have five satellites and it still not tell me where I am. Is this the same for everyone with a csx, or is mine just up the swannie? Thanks. ZoomLens
  3. To clarify this a little further - the meeting beforehand is for those that are helping to organise the event to ensure that everything is sorted. The meeting afterwards is in case people wish to continue conversations not finished at the flashmob event. This effectively ensures that the flashmob event stays as close to the principles of flashmob as possible, whilst having a preagreed place to socialise seperately afterwards if you wish. It's a fairly simple choice too - if you don't like the principle, then don't come - but don't criticise others for wanting to take part. People have often been criticised for setting drive by caches, 35mm micros, earthcaches, virtuals and, frankly, not everyone is going to like every cache. The answer is simple - stop trying to sabotage it for everyone who plays the game in a slightly different way to you, and only do the things you are interested in. That way, you don't have to worry about the poor deluded people who want a flashmob event, and we don't have to feel negatively towards pompous spoilsports. I think that people are perhaps losing sight of the fact that geocaching should be FUN!
  4. DING DING DING DING! James Bond's parents are Andrew Bond, a Scotsman, and Monique Delacroix, from Canton de Vaud, Switzerland. Their nationalities were established in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Fleming emphasized Bond's Scottish heritage in admiration of Sean Connery's cinematic portrayal, whereas Bond's mother is named after a Swiss fiancée of Fleming's. Well done Lorna! I'm surprised it took that long. Over to you.
  5. Nope Born in Hong Kong and had a limp? Not quite sure what you mean by that - keep trying
  6. I'll guess at Indian. His father was probably something to do with the Raj. In the words of the great Roy Walker, "It's good, but it's not right"
  7. Ok then. Still on a Bond theme: James Bond is half Scottish. What nationality is the other half? Sorry about the phrasing - for clarity, I'm not looking for the nationality of the woman he married!!
  8. Good wild guess but nope. Don't forget my Whiskey suggestion!
  9. Nope............30 glasses of champagne I read this in the QI book - it's Whiskey.
  10. I'll happily take on Merrions Wood - Email sent.
  11. I'm pretty sure she was the Tirpitz and didn't they attack her with mini submarines??
  12. You wouldn't believe how close you are with that - I had to google it, but I'm glad I did. Those wierdos.
  13. Wasn't it England? Most people think that it was Dom Perignon, but didn't some English guy invent it?
  14. From the lack of movement and failure to find anything in the diary - do we assume that this is now not going ahead?
  15. I'm not sure many people in the UK know what Future Shop or Best Buy is - certainly not from experience. There are certainly many online retailers that sell these, both in the UK and also Canada.
  16. I like this one - didn't take me long though. It's going on the list to do whenever I make it out that way... Thanks
  17. what type of image are you trying to look at? If it's a jpeg, I don't know what would help, but if its a gif file then you could use www.gifworks.com
  18. Custom Charges? The likelyhood of them being stopped is extremely slim, and the excise duty and vat chargeable on those things would be pence only! You'll easily save that amount by getting them from the states. I wouldn't worry if I were you.
  19. well I must say i'm interested... I might have to go and look for one... anyone actually looked for one yet?
