  1. What whh0 said is what I believe is the right thing to do. Usually, you'd be advised not to keep a TB for more than 2 weeks. However, if you play on keeping it for a specific reason (such as travelling to a country where the TB must be dropped, keeping it to share it on an event, etc) you should e-mail/leave a note/message the owner so that he's aware of where the TB is being held and why. This is recommended because, imagining you owned a TB, you wouldn't like to think it could have gotten stolen or it was just lost.

If you have any doubts in any other areas regarding geocaching, you can e-mail me, I'm available most of the time for a fast answer :D

  2. Well, this is something I have been thinking about for a while. Good to see other geocachers think about it as well, and that we share the same opinion.

Basically, what I would be interested in seeing is a way to search your "found" trackables just the same way you are able to search for your found geocaches.

  3. Without knowing the coordinates of the stage in question how do I figure out in what direction and how far I should move my cache?

The tip before hiding a cache is to find all the geocaches in the area. Besides finding out all the physical stages, you also get to find more types of containers, which is always a way to improve your geocaching knowledge.
  4. Going from 2 Groundspeak apps to 1 app that provides bonus content to Premium Members will get rid of a great deal of confusion for app users.

However, if the paid app is no longer being updated and will be phased out yet is still on the market for a fee that seems very questionable business ethics unless those buying the paid app are going to be compensated ($10 worth of premium membership?)

Those 10$ worth of premium membership seem to be a dream to me.

  5. Hi,

I want to make my first hide and have a question about container,

Does it have to be a container from the official geocaching web shop?

Because i would have to pay with euros, and in my country thoose euros prizes are extrimely expensive,

Can i make a container by myself? Is my english good enough for you to understand what i'm trying to say?

    Hi.

As the other members have said, no, it doesn't have to be oredered from the Geocaching Shop.

Also: Yes, your english is more than good enough, don't worry

However, if you don't feel confident enough, there are local forums, on which you can speak your own language.

  6. Hi,

First of all, I'd like to point out one useful tip for the future: Before hiding a geocache, always make sure you've found the caches in the area, that way you'll make sure that no physical points are close to the location you have chosen to place your geocache at.

Regarding the question itself, I'm pretty sure it won't make any difference to you. The Date Placed will only be something that is part of the geocache info. The cache will only show up on the searches after the reviewer made sure that your geocache is ready to go and publishes it.

If you have any other question or if I haven't been explicit enough, let me know.
