Is that all you can read? Is there no code or name?
  2. I like the fact that you created an account on the 24th of september. I really hope this is a good joke
  3. I believe this might be the ultimate solution and I have to re-quote this:
  4. From what I've read, even thought it would seem logical to implement such feature, it would also be more complex for newies to try out geocaching. This is where the dilemma is.
  5. Thay may be able to get stats related to the ammount of CITO events that ever happened, and how many geocachers have attended them worldwide, however I don't think they would be able to know the ammount of trash. This happens because: 1-There's no geocaching.com feature (yet) that let's you "log" how many trash you have found, 2-The ammount of trash collected ins't always weighted nor recorded. I believe it would be an interesting feature to add, however, it might seem hard to implement.
  6. If you use any of the Apps (for Android or iPhone) you can add an additional point with the final coordinates.
  7. Wow! That's probabily the biggest TB I have ever seen! Is the code located on the other side of the car?
  8. That's quite strange. I just tried it and it works fine for me. Try clearing your browser's cache, that's a default fix for everything on the web. If it doesn't work, provide more details: are you using Google as your map provider?
  9. Head over to https://www.geocaching.com/my/lists.aspx and above your currents bookmarks, you'll find a "Create New Bookmark List".
  10. Do you mean that you don't get the premium Google Maps over at geocaching.com/map ? IF this is it, open up geocaching.com/map , go on the left bar, and select "Map Preferences". A new window should then pop up and you'll be able to select "Google Maps" as the map provider.
  11. If I'm not mistaken, you have two tabs, "List" and "Map". If you open the geocache page, you should then have the "Navigate" option, which will open up a map with the route to the geocache. About it only showing 70% of the caches: I'm not sure if it works like on the iPhone app, but when I use my iPhone app, I have to hit "Show more results" and it will search for geocaches within a wider radius.
  12. First thing, that might seem a little bit off-topic: I just saw you (Seemyshells) on Joshua's video, and even replied to your comment there. This just shows how small our world is About TB stories: The first Travel Bug that I found was called "Nemo" and it was portuguese (just like me!). I got really excited at that point. After having heard of them I finally got to find one, on the beach. After this, I went to geocaching.com and finally got to log my first TB. As of now, I've got some crazy TB ideas, but it is too early to share. I'll maybe post them later
  13. A lot has already been said, and most of it is what I agree with and is what makes Geocaching a user-friendly community. There are people who always tend to swim against the tide, but happens everywhere. This is why you (and everyone else) should stand for what you believe, and be the example of what is right.
  14. I think this has already happened to me before. Can you possibly give us more details such as what type of maps are you using and if this bug happens with every map type? Thanks
  15. Congratulations! You seem to be going the same way I am: finding arround 100 caches each year
  16. Instagram account (almost) fully dedicated to geocaching: http://instagram.com/completoo
  17. If you are interested in logging the geocoin through the geocaching app: First, open up the "Found it!" menu: After this step, select "Trackable Drop/Visit" Select the Trackable from your inventory: Select the log type - "Visit" : After this, hit done and you'll be directed back to the "Found it!" menu. Write your log as usual and you're good to go
  18. I wondered the same EDIT: Apparently Clangador is a premium member aswell.
  19. Everything is explained here, there's no other way to describe this option I believe.
  20. Hi, First of all, I think you should consider thinking about it first. Your ideas do matter! If you want some help, here's what I recommend: Place the ammo can and, with the invisible ink, write the code somewhere on the ammo can (if the ink is "permanent" and won't get out). Then, on the cache listing, you're gonna have to add the attribute "UV Light required" and say something on the hint like "If you can't solve it, maybe you need to enlighten yourself" or find something creative like this. If your paint can't be applied to the ammo can itself, maybe you need to write on a paper and then have some kind of plastic band covering it. If there's anything else you'd like to know or if you need more help let me know.
  21. Hi, I'm actually not aware of those "challenges". If you are seeing them in the geocacher's profile description, then it might be something created by the community. However, if you are seeing them in the souvenir section, they might not be available at this time. As an example, if you go to my profile, you'll see I've got all the souvenirs from 2013 challenge (find 1 cache each day of august), from the 2014 challenge(find different type of caches and in the end receive "The Achiever") and also all the souvenirs from the 2015 challenge("Road Trip Hero"). These ones that I got could only be earned in a specific time and are no longer available. Anything else, don't hesitate to ask.
  22. Hi, Which map provider and type are you using?
  23. What whh0 said is what I believe is the right thing to do. Usually, you'd be advised not to keep a TB for more than 2 weeks. However, if you play on keeping it for a specific reason (such as travelling to a country where the TB must be dropped, keeping it to share it on an event, etc) you should e-mail/leave a note/message the owner so that he's aware of where the TB is being held and why. This is recommended because, imagining you owned a TB, you wouldn't like to think it could have gotten stolen or it was just lost. If you have any doubts in any other areas regarding geocaching, you can e-mail me, I'm available most of the time for a fast answer
