  1. My life got busy for a year or so and haven't been able to do much geocaching, but after looking around San Antonio there doesn't seem to be many trackables out there! Is this aspect of geocaching dying off? I'm heading back to Korea and would love to give a few travel bugs a ride but can't seem to find any!
  2. I am in the Air Force as well, stationed down in Colorado Springs at Peterson. Let me know if I can help you out at all from down here. There are plenty of jobs in Denver, you'll just have to do a bit of searching.
  3. Well, I will be driving through the northern part of New Mexico... I probably won't have time toi get down to Albequerque. Sorry about that, maybe on the way back up I can swing by...
  4. Once again I will be out of town for this meeting. Seems everytime there is a meetiing, I just happen to be out of town, and I'm not out of town often! This time I will be in Texas. Oh well, maybe next time. Jason
  5. I'm going on a road trip to San Antonio, Texas in early January. If your travel bug is interested in going that direction, let me know! akjayincolorado@yahoo.com Jason
  6. My opinion regarding geocaching in Iraq and locating them on military installations.. where in Iraq is it safe to find geocaches that aren't on military installations? and for that matter, what do you think the chances of your average iraqi citizen actually owning a gps and interested in geocaching? I mean, it's like everything else in Iraq, geocaching will be introduced to the people of iraq in due time, along with all the conforts of modern society once security is reestablished. It would be suicide for any american or briton to go driving around on their own looking for a geocache in unsecure areas.
  7. I was playhing around looking at different geocaches in other countries today when I checked out Iraq! It seems that our brave troops over there are trying to keep the goecaching hobby alive and kicking in Iraq! If you get a few minutes, why don't you send a quick letter of thanks to the cache placers in Iraq for protecting our freedom AND introducing geocaching to Iraq. SSgt Jason Adams U.S. Air Force
  8. thanks for everybody's help.. and to coin an early 90's phrase... NOT!!!!
  9. I would love to find a good cache while I am in the area of Rampart Range tomorrow. I hear this is a beautiful area with lots of 4-wheeling trails and so forth, so it sounds like the perfect place for a few caches... Thanks!
  10. Hey Bob, I'll be happy to go with you to find some caches when I get back to Colorado. I'll send you an e-mail when I return.
  11. Yeah Andy, looks like we won't be able to do a couple geocaches together after all, since I have been lumped into your group of 'psychos, military, or police'. Pretty screwed up of you pal. Enjoy your ability to get a nice rest tonight, provided by you local law enforcement and U.S. Military.
  12. Hey man I live in Colorado Springs, but I am deployed now. I will be back in mid july so if you want to go on a hunt or two I am up for it. GPSaxaphone I just got finished reading your quote in that geocache news story out of New Mexico.. Way cool dude!
  13. I think the above suggestions are very very good. Why don't we as C.A.C.H.E. members get together and write up a good professional letter detailing what has been mentioned so far and deliver it to the appropriate public oficials? If it's worded correctly and is polite and informative, I'll be happy to sign on to it, at least electronically, since I am deployed with the Air Force until May. Either way, action is far more preferred than complacentcy (SP) IMHO.
