As far as the joystick, the rubber wore off mine too, and now we're having to replace because the joystick is becoming more and more finicky to the point where you have to really force it to get around your screens.

We have the Explorist 200 and love it. Friends and family have opted for the 210 and I find it much slower to respond than the 200. The 200 switches from screen to screen without a hiccup but for some reason the 210 seems to take a while and for me, I'd rather stick with the 200 because frankly, I don't have the patience hehe. For the first while, when only my parents had the 210 I thought something was wrong with it because it took so much longer to switch views. That said, the 200 doesn't have the computer hookup.

$199?? I will have to keep my eyes open. Have seen the 500 on sale for $229 here which is still much lower than the CSx. I guess what we wanted to know, is if the CSx was all that much better to warrant spending the extra couple hundred bucks. We use our GPS a lot: I use it at work, it is used for other recreation, and for geocaching. We liked the electronic compass feature of the CSx, but that alone is not enough for me to go out and spend the extra $$.

gpscentral.ca its canadian but you can get a comparison of the two. I just happen to be canadian so that's kinda perfect...

I should add that other than this one problem with our current explorist, we love it! we've had it now for 2 years though and I guess it's time to move on. I really like the set up of the explorist but did a bit of 'research' and saw that the 60 CSx was rated really high on Consumer Reports. Just wondering if there's anywhere where I can compare the two... Thanks again...

We're tossing up purchasing either a Magellan Explorist 500 or a Garmin 60CSx. Currently we use the Explorist 200 and love it but one of the buttons is wearing out so an excuse to buy a new one Anyone have any recommendations?? TIA
